One time when I was like 13 my mom and I went out to dinner and there was a guy in the restaurant making balloon animals, and he gave me a little balloon doggy even though I was too old.

I've been dating this guy for a month (which is a pretty long time for me) and twice this week I've had dreams about meeting his parents. Not sure what to think of this.

I lost access to GT when Kinja began and never got it back. It's 90% of why my commenting dropped off with the new system. At first I worked toward earning access, but eventually I just gave up and moved most of my commenting elsewhere.

I've been commenting constructively since 2009 but have never once been out of grey since Kinja came into play. It's pretty discouraging.

Gettin' real tired of people in my life thinking I have an eating disorder because I'm counting calories.

While we're discussing this, can I issue a world-wide plea for people to STOP referring to people as "[Pet]'s Mommy" unless they refer to themselves that way first? Please?

Personally I am torn between staying up late to watch What Dreams May Come and never watching that movie ever again.

I posted a picture of myself as a kid on reddit on Friday, and apparently the post blew up while I was out of town over the weekend and made the front page. My inbox is a little overwhelming right now.

Hey, you an people like you in this thread! I also have GIS skillz. If you have GIS skillz and any kind of training in statistics and can use Excel/Access, you might want to look into becoming a Crime Analyst. That is what I do and it's basically 50% math and 50% making maps in Arc/GoogleEarth, and you get to read

I actually do believe I found my soul mate.

LOVED it. Bought the soundtrack and have finally started watching Parks and Rec because I appreciate Chris Pratt so much now.

I adopted a kitty today! He's having a hard time adjusting so far and is mostly sleeping under my desk, so no pics, but I have a lot of experience with timid cats, so I'm letting him do his own thing.

I knew a girl in grad school who was married, and one night she told me that when she met her future husband, he lived in a two story house and spent most of his time downstairs, but the only bathroom was upstairs.

not only that, we're not human!

I'm really surprised so many people seem to like this look. I really hate the muted color scheme crap, and the design just doesn't impress me overall. It looks like it's strapless and will start sliding off the moment she does anything physical.

I am super psyched for Guardians of the Galaxy next week, but I recently moved to a new state and don't know many nerds here yet. I texted the only guy I know that I thought might be into it, but tried to make it super clear this was a movie night and not a date - told him I'd meet him there when he offered to pick me

When I was in high school, a bunch of us on a class trip discovered Nutella for the first time and decided to dip classic Lays in it. It was amazing. I literally haven't had Nutella in 13 years because I can't justify doing that again but I don't want it any other way.

Yeahhh I was also nearly recruited by them in grad school and the first thing they tell you basically is that if anyone if your life knows you applied or were recruited? You have to tell them it didn't work out after all. Could be she really didn't get the job, but could be she just said that to people because she had
