I think there is a difference between terrible meals and local/common grub.   One is experiencing the fabric of the place and the other is just calories.    Some of it might be cheap and/or not that healthy but it can at least taste good. 

Fun fact: which color is more expensive depends on where you live. Lots of places charge more for brown eggs because of that “healthier” implication.

The idea of a carbon footprint is a scam sold by the petroleum industry to distract people from regulating/demanding alternative of the fossil fuel industry.
