Either way, the ACLU taking up the military draft as an issue concerning gender discrimination seems to me to be a pitfall of liberal definitions of gender equality, which rely on the idea that women must seek to do everything that men do.

None.  It’s all terrible.  Even stuff that should be the same everywhere like McDonalds or the mentioned Panda Express is somehow worse in an airport.  The least offensive things are usually bagels (maybe bc they are already terrible outside of NY/NJ so they don’t get worse) or breakfast burritos.

The only part that surprises me about Disney having a conniption fit over canoodling is that it took this many days to hear it.  I am thinking Taika has either lost out on directing a 3rd Thor or won himself a great many new clauses in his contracts.

Fantasy is kind of all over the place. Do you mind if there is a historical element? I enjoyed the Memoirs of Lady Trent starting with A Natural History of Dragons (Marie Brennan) - a woman from Regency Englandish becomes a scientist who studies dragons. I am unlikely to grill fish because it takes more time to build the fire than to cook the actual protein. (A consequence of insisting on charcoal I guess).  Smoke, maybe?  But not grill, with the exception of the swordfish.  But there are a lot of fishes on this list. 

I had to force myself to make some plans. Left to my natural devices I would be an unhealthy hermit for the rest of my life. Those people I was happy to be avoiding? They’re not coming back into my life.

Because people are idiots and it’s a lot easier to blame a fictional scapegoat than to deal with mind shattering reality that we control nothing and will face terrible pandemics in the future.  

This genre is really not for me either. I like a good action flick but I do mostly want movies for the characters. “Has a daughter” is not sufficient as a list of compelling character traits to make me watch something.

I hit this point like 3 years ago. I moved and I got about a month out of step with the shows and it felt exactly like that - like work - to catch up, and I decided that was dumb and I didn’t need to do that to myself.

I am proud I didn’t murder anyone for being a plague spreading asshole.  Particularly the week I had jury duty, that was touch-and-go.

IDK the bigger problem to me is “has a cute kid at home” is not really the most engaging motivation. Bog standard war propaganda with a sci-fi skin.

I mean it sounds good and all until someone you love is ranting about how the wall is necessary to prevent the child sex trafficking...   when the logic leaps are so nonsensical there’s no discussion to be had because they can’t name sources or explain how it works.  It’s all emotion.  

I don’t really understand the appeal of this collection but being plus sized my whole life I haven’t really felt a lack of oversized pieces with weird sleeves. I feel like Eloquii has a lot of the same vibe going on with ruffles, sleeves and bright prints if people are into it.

Cruella at heart is a character without empathy (literally... this is what is so horrifying about the movie, she’d kill the adorable puppies for the empty fashion statement of their coats) which makes it hard to empathize with, right? What they should have done was sort of the opposite of the live action Cinderella.…

I live alone and have spent so much time watching his shows since last that he is basically my Pandemic Imaginary Friend.  Seriously, it’s been more time than I have spent with real people.  Guy’s Ranch Kitchen is basically lifestyle #goals too. 

He wears a trilby but she hates it because its not fashion and they have a big argument about it and don’t speak for a week.
