Glory Box is in my top three sexiest songs of all time (the other two being Curve's Unreadable Communication and Joan Osborne's Dracula Moon).

As good as the Purple Rain soundtrack is, I always thought it would have been improved if it had included The Time's music from the film as well.
Cat Power – Peace and Love
Regina Spektor – Field Below (live)
Thea Gilmore – Exit Route
Nirvana – The Man Who Sold The World
Curtis Harding – Drive My Car
Recoil – Want
I was never too into the Barenaked Ladies, but I loved their version of God Rest Yes Merry Gentlemen so much that I picked up the full Christmas album they released, and it is pretty great.
Peggy is the smokier, sultrier one, at least in my mind.
I have all three of the Christmas Cocktails compilations on CD, and I bring them out every December. The first two volumes especially are just front to back awesome.
Whoa, I never realized that Christmas and Combustible Edison involved the same people! I remember buying Ultraprophets (on cassette!) simply because the cover artwork caught my eye. I also have Vortex, but apparently missed In Excelsior Dayglo; I'll have to look for that.
Kind of a long one today – it was so delightfully random yet weirdly cohesive that I just kept going.
Ha! Fortunately, I wouldn't know. I would bring CDs into work with me and listen to them at my desk. Then about halfway through, I started working at home and just loaded up the player and let it go all day. Good times.
About a 12 years ago, I went on a mission to listen to every CD I owned, in alphabetical order. This had some serious highs, and also some crashing lows, such as when I got to the Pauly Shore comedy album I bought back in the college. To say it did not age well would be a gross understatement.
I was always partial to the Super Relax EP version, but the Stereotype A version is also pretty sweet.
You'll dance to anything!
Man, my math was way off on that!
Spoon is one of my favorite Cibo Matto songs. I was very glad they performed it when I saw then live earlier this year.
While not part of my shuffle list, earlier today I did listen to the version of What a Waste that Ian Dury did with Curve. What are the odds?
Scylla – No Idea
Joy Zipper – Holy Diver
Jane Powell – It’s a Most Unusual Day
The Smiths – Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now
Hedwig and the Angry Inch movie soundtrack – Tear Me Down
The Del Rios – There’s a Love
Silversun Pickups – Dots and Dashes (Enough Already)
See, I would have thought that Night Ranger would have been the one making you feel silly.
I will always upvote Sir Duke.
And a small - A SMALL - chocolate shake, because I'm trying to watch myffigure.
Liked for the Rasputina/early Depeche Mode combo.
