It seemed like it was always extremes with her; either her design was something I really loved, or it was an abomination. There was no middle ground at all. Doug was like that too, although he had a better average. I definitely agree with My Year of Flops that Genevieve was the best.

When I saw Elastica in the headline, I assumed this would be about S.O.F.T. Interesting choice.

I seem to recall briefly having a crush on the keytarist from Pseudo Echo when I was in junior high, and I still get a little sad when I hear the original Funkytown instead of their cover.

Agreed.

Black Dove is so good. Big upvote for that.

I so love Meet Ze Monsta. Probably my favorite track on that album, which is saying something.

Danielle Dax – Brimstone in a Barren Land
Peggy Lee – Gee, Baby Ain’t I Good to You
The Beatles – Piggies
Johnnie Taylor – Somebody’s Sleeping In My Bed
Jamie Cullum – Singin’ In The Rain

I remember Strip Mall. Dammit.

I hated that song when it came out, and still hate it now. While my opinion has turned on some songs from my childhood (I initially despised Burning Down the House, which kind of boggles my mind now), and other songs have become tolerable through the warm glow of nostalgia, I still flip the channel if Beds Are

Ah, Bloodhound Gang. So juvenile yet so fun.

Oh, Under Ice is so good.

Upvote for The Headmaster Ritual. One of my faves.

I was also very into Lush. Split is my favorite, but the Gala collection of EPs is strong too. Th' Faith Healers is another that I think have gotten better with age.

Can't go too wrong with any of those choices.

Protection is one of those songs I can just put on repeat.

Hey, that's Curve two weeks in a row! Zoo is such a good song. That whole EP is amazing.

Canned Heat – Poor Moon
Basia Bulet – Tall Tall Shadow
Nellie McKay – Oversure
Massive Attack – Protection
Mark Lanegan Band – Quiver Syndrome
28 Days Later score – Red Dresses

Man, I love History Repeating. The whole album is good, but that song especially.
