This is just a test to see if the creation of my account worked and actually linked up.

I've liked all of their stuff, but a good starting point would be Southern Manners and/or the Live at Fingerprints EP, both of which came out the same year as their record with Jenny Lewis. Talking to You, Talking to Me is also really good.

Oh, goodness yes. I had the video album - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/… - back in the day and watched it a lot. Still have it, actually, but I don't break out the VCR very often.

Hey, we both had PiL and Bowie in our shuffles. Synergy!

I was always a big fan of that track.

I know! I am just so glad a record store was randomly playing one day when I was shopping; picked up both of their albums - including buying the actual disc they were playing, since it was the last copy - that very day.

I also thought she should have won Snatch Game, as her Marlene Dietrich was great, as was her Madonna look on the runway.

It's from Changes, the last album of the original era, with just Mickey and Davy still in the group at the time. Not peak Monkees for sure, but still not bad.

Also, I want to say that the reason he ended the live shows in the first place was due to hearing issues, but I could be misremembering.

It is one of my great regrets that I never got to see them live, and it doesn't sound like a reunion will ever happen.
