I first heard them when they opened up for Depeche Mode on the World Violation tour, and they were great live. I listened Showtime quite a bit after that. Also loved the songs McCarthy sang on Alan Wilder's Recoil albums.

The second that popped up in my shuffle, I thought Dikachu will be pleased!

Just finished A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab, which I loved. Great characters, interesting world building, magic stuff. I've since started on the sequel, A Gathering of Shadows, which I'm also enjoying.

Neneh!

Still in a 90s mood, so let’s do this.

And for this week’s shuffle, a shuffle of my 90s playlist!

God, how I laughed in Untucked when Alexis said she took being thrown under the bus as a compliment, because they were recognizing her as "fierce competition".

Nice!

I was fairly disappointed in Boys For Pele at the time, though I appreciate it more now, so to me Choirgirl was like a return to form, and I looooooooved it.

Man, I love Liquid Diamonds so much.

I finally got around to creating a couple of playlists on my player, one 80s and one 90s. So here’s my 80s shuffle. Next week, the 90s!

Yeah, I found that to be super self-centered and disrespectful. Farrah should have just walked away anyway, but she's apparently too nice.

Nice! I've got that version too. She's really great live. When I saw her at First Avenue, Neil briefly came out to watch her and stood right in front of me, and I internally flipped out but didn't bother him.

Map of Tasmania is so fun.
