It took us two years and 20 friends and family to find an O match for Mr.Run and we were lucky. The wait list for O cadaver kidneys is typically 10 years, while other blood types can be as short as 3 years. Sadly most people don't live on dialysis for 10 years.

Mark, thanks for posting the link to becoming a living donor. My husband is one year past receiving a kidney from his living donor. He's doing really well and part of the success of his transplant is having a living donor.

The O kidney would be worth way more. If you have blood type O, it is really difficult to get a kidney, because you can ONLY receive kidneys from other Os. Positive or negative doesn't matter in kidney transplants.

We haven’t watered our lawn for two years. I was out there the other day and realized that part of our yard is now more dirt than actual dead grass. We actually got a little rain today (north bay), so maybe some grass will sprout. I think my neighbors hate us.
