Maybe not the French Revolution or the Hbombs, but I distinctly remember my brother, at 17, telling me that he HAD to join the Marines instead of going to college. And this was pre-9/11. He felt like it was his duty to serve and he wanted to carry on the tradition of my grandfather (who served between WWII and Korea).

We knew going in... Mr. Run and I brought chili and my brother made guacamole and salsa. Still.

Ugh. Mother-in-laws. My MIL can be the worst. She hates the Super Bowl mostly because it always falls close to her bday. What does she do this year? Volunteers to host a SB party and then declares she is going to serve vegetable soup at the party. My MIL is super thin, constantly harasses my husband about his weight,

Constance Wu is a really funny and talented actor. I'm on break this week and decided to check out the show. I tore through the 5 episodes in an afternoon. I think Wu's Jessica is my favorite character, but they have all been great. I also appreciate Grandma's knitting. I hope this show gets picked up for multiple

I could not. I did momentarily contemplate driving to Occidental to get it at Barley & Hops, but then I thought not. I just can't believe that any beer is worth an 8 hour wait.

But did you stand in line during the first day of Pliny the Younger release in the pouring rain? That's the true weather test.

Oh definitely. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and we had plenty of good Mexican. It's just those middle of nowhere places.

Sadly, yes. I have lived in a few places where you are hard pressed to find a good taqueria or family restaurant. Mostly in the Midwest outside of major cities. I was also shocked at the lack of decent Mexican food in Boston, but I think that's a symptom of the Northeast.

They are in season right now. California avocados are February through September and Mexican avocados are pretty much grown year-round. Go get yourself some avocados.

Dude. I feel this so hard. I am not fast by any means, by when I am running a road race, I run the whole damn time. There is always a small part of me that dies when a run/walker passes me. I'm slow.😕

I take my milk from the almond and my yogurt from the goat.

Oh my gosh, me too! This woman posted some pics from her night out on Saturday and she had almost completely blurred out her nose. It was so fucking weird.

YES!

This is so goofy.

"Jungle Love " really IS one of the greatest records ever written. I love that '80's funk sound with all the horns and synth. How can you not dance?

Even then, I tip my stylist. She owns the salon, but has been cutting and coloring my hair since before she was the owner. I always give her a cash tip since she listens to me bitch for 2 hours.

My takeaway from this movie was so different. I say this, because the strongest takeaways I had were the images of families having their homes invaded by American Marines and soldiers. I couldn't stop thinking about what it's like to live in war zone where people are actively trying to kill you or people who look

I have some wide-legged Paige's I bought on Rue La La a few years ago. They are kinda snug right now, but now I have extra incentive to wear them again. They are a nice tencel/denim blend and have the most beautiful drape. I wear almost exclusively skinnies, but I do love a wide-leg pant. I've been searching for the

Awwwwww, Burt! You'll so be missed. I remember you once favorited a tweet of mine. I think it was to say happy birthday. You correctly identified baby North West as America's Baby™. Come visit us in GT.

Just don't move to Marin, that's all. It's got the highest rate of noncompliance of all the Bay Area counties.
