It is a great PC game, that I have never played despite owning, because it is made for co-op, and I feel too lonely trying to single player it.

I was talking to a work buddy of mine, and we determined that, at latest, the ps3 price drop will come after the holiday buying season.

Plus a second game that I was planning on getting anyways, not a bad deal. I might have a hard time resisting.

Hrm. Great deal on a PS3 now, or hold out on a hopefully better one after PS4 release? Also, have controllers always been this expensive and I just forgot, or is it because they're all fancy and wireless and such now?

I meant the "Special edition" figures, not the digital game part. I did not know about the DC tablet game.

Didn't Heroclix have something like this?

Wow, that is much more insight into the ban rules than I expected. Thanks, mate! It's nice to know how things work, especially in a hobby I enjoy (even if not competitively)

I collected the Djinn trio, but never looked at them as Pokemon with stats and movesets, I just assumed all legendaries were more powerful, with some being even more than others.

Wait? They allow legendaries in these tournaments? The hell?

I don't think "event" pokemon have really been "events" since Gen1, maybe some Gen2. The TCG gets real events still, and the Pokemon Centers/Nintendo Stores might have a real event, but not just a special pokemon at Gamestop/ToysRUs. It's literally just on the wifi. There weren't even signs most of the time I went.

They'd probably put Firered/Leafgreen on the Virtual Console before Red/Blue/Green. Yellow should get on there though, that'd be great.

In gen 4 and a bit in 5, I went to a few distribution events between gamestop and toys'r'us. I never saw a single person that wasn't with me with their DS out.

I'm just glad the launch distribution event isn't a legendary that is only obtainable through that event.

You're totally right about gaming with friends, though. That's why most of my gaming is MMOs these days.

If you're updating your hardware more than once every three to five years or so, you're going overkill. Or you care more about graphics than I do, which is totally within your rights as a fan of gaming.

I got into IT because, as a huge nerd with little interest in other (feasible, I always wanted to be an astronaut, up through high school. Just can't.) pursuits, I figured it just made sense. And then I wound up loving it instead of just tolerating it, so hey!

Other commenters are saying the ps4 requires PS+ to get online. They'll have to pick one. Or PC. Good god, please not PC, it's bad enough already.

I doubt it will. $40 a year isn't much. A christmas gift for the kiddies.

I don't know if anyone wanted to handle that.

I apologize, worded improperly, or didn't complete my thought or what have you. I didn't mean to imply you were the person saying it, meant more to imply you were saying Nintendo didn't think they could.
