This looks mostly like a retelling of Taxi Driver to me.

Abusers don’t universally abuse everyone they come in contact with. There are plenty of women Bill Cosby came in contact with who he didn’t rape. We’re more concerned with the 30-40 that he did. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp?
Well, given that Luke and his father had a new-found peace and resolution in their relationship, what The AV Club said was true...from a certain point of view.
I think it has less to do with the character and more to do with the actor. Harrison Ford has (had?) an absolutely undeniable magnetism and old school Hollywood star quality. No one can fill his shoes.
I’m appalled that Sy Snootles thinks she’s getting away with that mustache disguise...
Makes me wonder what the writers in the Saved by the Bell writer’s room went on to do. I am sure the show was intentionally lowest-of-the-lowest common denominator, but really...Is there that much difference between this and Big Bang Theory? Seems like a straight line from one to the other, with the latter having…
While Star Wars was popular when it was present in the general public’s mind, there was definitely a stretch of about 10-12 years when rampant fandom was limited to total nerds (maybe they were just Star Wars nerds, but nerds nonetheless)
Speaking of Muhammad’s, I’d expect this one to rank pretty high on a list.
“The Pope” is a title, not a person. You may as well put “The Queen” on there, using that logic.
“We can’t let an actor who got caught doing something illegal continue to work. That would be wrong!”
“Can we take advantage of and, profit from, the fictionalized version of their crimes?”
“But of course!”
All these years later, I still say one of the biggest indicators of the film’s problems (and it’s general approach) was that Jar-Jar turns the tide of a major battle with a prat-fall. Comic relief shouldn’t be used to resolve plot points.
It’s interesting seeing Eyes Wide Shut actually get some recognition after 20 years. I felt like I was apologizing every time I told people that I liked it after it came out. Wonder what changed...
So happy this article exists. I had started noticing this trend and then the next time I went to see a movie in the theater, more than half the trailers employed this technique. I think two even used *different* slow sad covers of the same song. It was uncanny.
“Fallon is Joe Strummer”
Do any other hip hop artists have news items ? Why is this site so far up the ass of someone who (apparently) only recently completed their first album? Dude must have a killer PR team.
I remember the film pretty clearly showing a man way out of his depth and utterly unprepared for the task he’d taken on, culminating with eating a poisonous plant due to an inflated sense of confidence in his (barely rudimentary) knowledge of the wilderness.
AMBER!
The good thing is that those who don’t notice that the feature is turned on won’t notice when you turn it off.
Someone has switched their faces using deep fake technology, right? Surely that’s happened already or the frivolity of the internet has failed us.
