Man, arresting someone for drunk/disorderly when they are in the process of trying to act responsibly and get an Uber to drive them home is such bullshit.

“OK, Computer...”

That’d still be earning money as an active musician. Selling stakes in a company or licensing your name...not so much.

I suspect it is related to the compression/low resolution of the clouds in the sky and the way the whole image blurs. When I look at it, I know intellectually that the *image* is blurring, but it feels like my eyes are actually blurring. Which is fucked up.

If he essentially wasn’t an active musician in 2017, I’m not sure what about this constitutes a musician earning any money. He earned money as an investor and businessman.

I hope they collaborate for a very long time.

It is a fair assumption.

You’re welcome. We all need a good laugh while we arrange the deck chairs and listen to that nice band...

Yes, but...there is the distinct possibility that he is doing something specifically to provoke extremists as an excuse to propose more racist anti-Muslim tactics. That is my biggest concern with this. If wasn’t convinced he is an idiot incapable of planning or nuance, I would think this was an attempt to pour gas

You mean go under for simple orthodontic surgery? And risk having negroes and un-wed mothers root through his pockets while he’s out? NO THANK YOU!

God dammit, Al.

Though I will say, it is interesting to see Hoffman talk through the actual event. Or at least his version of it. He legitimately doesn’t seem to think he did anything wrong. And he is remarkably calm while telling his version (which helps his case.) This is a good discussion to have captured.

I respect how calmly Oliver is hearing Hoffman’s carefully-worded response and saying “I don’t like that either”.

Oh, that’s cool. More from this series! It’s great!

“Obnoxiously earnest” is how I have described his vocal affect.

I am a Long Islander, originally. But considering I fled to Austin, TX as soon as I could, I see your point. Long Island is overwhelmingly and depressingly pro-Trump. Oof.

I am speaking as a New Yorker.

No one in NY likes him. Or has ever liked him. He is an abomination, a funhouse mirror reflection of the worst parts of the NYC ideology and attitude.

There’s a phrase from computer science that comes to mind: garbage in, garbage out.
