it was clear you were a bulls fan from the statement “playing the most efficient ball of his career, save the MVP campaign”
Pretty remarkable tale. This man’s saga could end up being an epic for the ages. If he keeps playing this well they’ll write books and movies and plays and who knows what other kinds of media about him.
Universal, etc. is one of my favorite books. Such a great story (and staggeringly sad)
I recall a story about I think Lew (Kareem) leading the ineligible freshman team to victory in a scrimmage against the varsity team that was coming off a national title...or maybe it was Wilt?
When he reads the letter they write him informing him he’s ineligible for the draft, he’s gonna be mad, mad, mad
Really one thing that ought to help non-cricket fans acclimate to cricket from other sports is the familiar concept of England blowing it (sorry)
I think the state I’m in right now is the perfect one for enjoying cricket - I know the basic rules and how many runs everything is worth, and I have *some idea* of strategy - you want to be able to switch up your bowlers so the batsmen don’t get too used to one style, you want to keep wickets in hand until late, etc.…
Cricket’s the absolute best, and watching those last few overs was the most excitement I’ve gotten out of sports in several months. Seriously.
Here’s a coach who would be behind Ivy League universities getting rid of the Master title.
This is good - but while “jamoke” is a good word, “jabroni” is better. I’d like to see the Cardinals referred to as jabronis more frequently.
it is utter chaos that anyone sits. I never cease to be amazed by it.
Whenever this comes up I am utterly confused. Who in hell sits to wipe? Again, how is it even possible? It’s not that I’m judging people who do...it’s just that it doesn’t even seem like a possible option.
Carol is so good. So good.
You may be right. I was merely referring in a less sophisticated way to Frank’s oft-stated desire to be thrown in the trash.
Sounds like Frank Reynolds would have been very happy as a scout under Chip.
Any woman I ever marry will understand that my love for Tatiana Maslany transcends the concept of fidelity - and may well share said feelings herself.
At least I picked a champion!
He’s gotta be kiking himself
I’ve often enjoyed melted peanut butter on top of kettle corn, but I would also never try to convince anybody else to adopt my food tastes. They work for me though.
