Having played both... definitely this.

Calm down, guys. Let's not make a big deal out of this.

┬─┬ ノ( ゜-゜ノ)

Asexuality in games is not the default. I already told you: not talking about a character's sexuality doesn't make him/her an asexual at all. If in a game you don't see any sexual content, it's not a depiction of asexuality, it's just not showing sexuality at all.

Well, I really would like to see Zoroastrianism in games, as I came across Shinto and Buddhism too. And I'm glad I did. Diversity is really nice and teaches people a lot of different things. I don't want them to represent all the viewpoints, but isn't it weird that I can almost always be a heterosexual monogamous male

Well, I'm not going to argue about what asexuality IS, of course. You may try discussing that stuff with a book, or maybe even Wikipedia.

Yeah, but it's like saying that a game where there's a lot of different ethnic groups and everyone is equal to each other portrays correctly those ethnicities IRL. Just showing something as a default state is not "representing" or talking about those issues, because in those games it is not opposed to anything at all.

I think not. For the same reason that asexuality and abstinence are not the same thing, not having sex is not the same as not wanting or desiring to, or not being sexually attracted to anyone.

Wow, I didn't think this moment would come so soon.

I came here to say the same thing, the concept is a carbon copy of that game.

AND Marvel.

I wish there was some kind of Han Solo - Indiana Jones meeting :P

Wow, didn't know that. It's one of my favorite Miyazaki films, so I was about to start a riot.

What? No Nausicaa?

I bursted into laughter. Seriously, you kinda made me explode there.

DE:HR is good sci-fi? Every sf writer is twisting in the grave because of that statement.

Or it even suggests she could be naked down there...

I think the highlighted word "bikini" was intended to link to the Fire Emblem censorship article, but it goes to the DOA one...

Great article by the way ;)

I played two of them today. I think I *might* have a small case of depression, as I can relate to the characters in that situation. Cheers for deep games that make you think this kind of things.

Nope. Same here.

I started Mother 1 yesterday. This article seems kinda premonitory.

Your avatar looks familiar... The XX?

Jokes aside, that kinda looks like SoM. Maybe that was intended, though.
