I was basically dehydrated after that episode.

When Shorty got her teeth fixed, I fucking lost it.  Thinking about how she hid her smile basically her entire life.  Tears. So many tears.  I wish them the best.

“There are 12 models. And they have a plan.”

1. I was LEGITIMATELY relieved when Antoni did not try and show the Jones sisters how to cook. “Your bbq is legendary, but have you thought about making grilled cheeses?”
2. When the one sister got her teeth fixed, I wept openly. My mother went through the same lifelong feelings about her teeth before she got them

And that’s the problem. She tried to move on and do something different, but she couldn’t because that’s what she was known for. He continued to be very successful on the speaking circuit and still polled well with women. He got to have a life. She didn't.

Just to try and temper the reactions, a friend of mine works in that industry (and at that company) and noted what typically dictates who gets top billing is the contract. If anyone needs to be dragged over this, it is her agent for missing such an important step that would lead to more attention.

This comment section is likely to be full of women reminiscing about friend-break-ups that were sudden, the ones that withered slowly and quietly, and the ones with all sorts of drama in between.

Nothing deep to say here, but I enjoyed reading this piece. It resonated in a way that was both pleasant and sad. I also lost a friendship over the past few years that had been particularly deep and powerful for me, and in some respects there’s still a bit of grief there.

“I know how many motherfuckers hate me. ‘I’m never going to see a Sam Jackson movie again.’ Fuck I care?” the 70-year-old actor exclaimed. “If you never went to another movie I did in my life, I’m not going to lose any money. I already cashed that check. Fuck you. Burn up my videotapes. I don’t give a fuck.”

If they keep the marketing like it is right now, you’ll go in having seen basically no footage of the major set pieces and action beats, which will be a pretty unique experience in this era.

/Non and Ursa come in, tuck Zod in nice and tight in wet blanket

While I agree that too much focus on the zombies isn’t interesting, I think there’s value in showing the foolishness of petty politics when there’s a real threat happening and being ignored.

I remember this entire thing. Everyone thought she was just Jackson’s crazy sister, trying to piggyback his fame...talking like him, looking like him, ect. The talk shows and tabloids (which if you weren’t around then, it was the be-all-end-all of pop culture and celebrity news) had a field day talking about her, and

I find this really interesting in context of the whole “lean in” thing and even #MeToo. She found the environment incredibly toxic, got her pound of flesh from it, and was like, piss off. I am not interested in this game or this bullshit. And I can’t help but completely agree with this stance! It makes perfect sense

b) that using your personal cell phone to do crime will get you caught every time. BURNER PHONES PEOPLE”

This is not the point, but I’m always kind of baffled by kids who brag about how rich they are. Like, you’re not rich. You’ve never had a job. Your parents are rich. You have no money and no marketable skills. Who brags about dependence and luck?

What in the Abducted in Plain Sight: Chocolate City is this? I made it to the 3-minute mark.

I spend my Saturday afternoons volunteering at Upward Bound at Pace University, an extracurricular program that provides college prep and counseling for low-income, first-generation, college-bound high school students.

Fuck all the snarky dudes here, this show is great and I can’t wait for the new season.
