Why not a new Mazda3? Get the base engine with a manual, or go for the turbo. The CX-30 would also fit the bill, since it’s a Mazda3 on platform heels.

The side windows on the pitting car make me think Fox-body Mustang (not that those were in NASCAR either).
Just looked up the Swedish word for lightning, to go with the electricity and the Thor’s Hammer lights and all. Volvo Blixt doesn’t sound too bad.
Interesting application of the Volvo “seat belt” in the not-a-grille and on the steering wheel. I don’t think they’ve ever applied the diagonal slash on anything but a grille.
Magazines and newspapers have been doing it for decades. At least Jalopnik makes it clear it’s an advertisement.
Incorrect color or not, that’s the best looking Renegade I’ve ever seen. Great color.

Jack it up an inch or two, add a little cladding, slap some Chrysler badges on there, and sell it here.
I’m not a fan of the current trend of headlights transitioning from round or circular designs to narrow strips
Great point, certainly worked for them in California.
I saw one yesterday and thought, “huh, I forgot about the Hyundai Entourage.” Get out of my brain!
They’re nailing it on most models, but they just removed the light blue option on the Mach-E, so you get gray, gray, black, white, gray, or red.
Is the “gear selector” on the screen larger than when it was first shown? Did they actually listen to reason there?
Those trucks won’t be hauling Color TVs, let alone Refrigerators.
I’m waiting for a single cab, flareside Splash edition with 90s graphics.
Ford stacks batteries below the rear seat in extended range Mach-Es, so they found some benefit to going vertical, but dividing the interior that way is bonkers.
They did that on the first-gen Chevy Volt, high enough to kill the rear center seat.
Avenir is to Buick as Denali is to GMC.
