Last I checked, Ford didn’t have bumpers that fall off in the rain and Home Depot parts inside.

Would it really kill Tesla to buy up some cheap smartphone-sized screens and put a speedo in front of the driver? It doesn’t have to be fancy like a Mach-E’s.
I want to drive the Pacific Coast Highway again, but this time in something more fun and less boat-like than a Mercedes GLS with my parents on board.
Or fuel consumption.
The slight “tunneled” effect makes the LEDs look like one huge bulb. I like it.
I still have the model at my parents’ house. So 90s, so awesome.
100% agree. I believe the majority of new vehicles sold right now should be PHEVs. The vast majority of journeys would be electric, but you avoid all the problems/anxiety that long-range electric trips cause today. As battery tech improves, increase the batteries and shrink the ICE until we can go pure electric with…
I traded in a 2006 Civic for a 3rd gen Mazda3 for my (admittedly much shorter) commute and it made a huge difference in my comfort. I would stick with newer models with radar cruise control and blind spot warnings for those highway sections.
I’m just shocked that the color matches so well. If you didn’t know beforehand you wouldn’t be able to tell which light was which in the bottom picture.
Neutral: First-gen VW GTI, but imported from Europe.
Such a missed opportunity, they could have dug up the Magnette name and called it the Electro-Magnette.
I fondly remember this 3rd gen Plymouth Voyager ad, though now I see they stole the plot from Subaru:
They had 10 years to fix this? Any other cars affected?
I’ve seen Wranglers and boats driven/sailed by all sorts of people and in all sorts of setups, but I’ve only ever seen douchebags driving Slingshots.
Rover teased a new Mini design, called the Spiritual, that would have stayed truer to the original vision of maximum space inside, minimal space outside. They were willing to set aside tradition in this, powering them with rear-mounted three cylinders and ditching the retro styling. If only BMW hadn’t tossed…
The craziest part to me is that the rules applied to digital speedos. The numbers would start climbing, hit 85 and stop counting while you know you’re going faster.
That should be illegal. Have the real price displayed, then display the price after “savings” next to it.
I forgot to ask for floor mats when I finalized financing on my first new car. I asked the salesperson and he replied that floor mats are a pure dealer profit item, like movie theater popcorn. It costs them a couple bucks, so that dealer just threw them in with every car.
Tesla’s revenge! (But not really since Elon gets all the money.)
$23k for a non-Westfalia VW? No dice.
