As an observer of my friends’ teenage kids, I can absolutely say this is true. They all want to do as little work as possible, make tons of money and have people adore everything they do. This is their view of what life should be. It’s going to be bad for all of us when they realize that’s not how it’s going to go,

I’d only want to be rich and famous because I want a lot of money, access to celebrity men to date, and occasionally a stroke to my ego from devoted fans. All three of those have drawbacks, but being a recent college grad is making me just want to live that lifestyle and say "screw it all".

I've always said that I thought it would be great to be 'Tom Waits'-level rich and famous. you have a consistent level of success, and you're not likely to get mobbed at the grocery store, but the niche people who specifically dig your work will recognize and appreciate you.

I hope that this wasn’t a revelation to anyone. The ubiquity and popularity of reality TV combined with the omnipresent tether to social media have combined to create a perfect storm. Furthermore, it’s not like there are many clear and available career paths for kids coming out of high school or college: the boomers

When I was young, I would have been one of those who would prefer to remain anonymous. Would I want to be rich? Sure. Handsome? Yes. Popular with the ladies? Once I was old enough to want that, why not. Famous, because I accomplished something great? I guess so. But famous for its own sake? No.

In terms of influence, Fortnite absolutely blows RDR2 out of the water, even if it was a very enjoyable movie. It’s up there with Minecraft in terms of popularity. If you want evidence of this, just visit any boardwalk or mall and see what t-shirts are out front.

And those kids are the future of the industry, so Fortnite deserves its place. Fortnite is to the 14 year olds of today what Golden Eye was to 14 year olds in my younger days.

Fame? No. Infamy. Fame is fleeting and temporary. Infamy is forever.

I think the WORLD of Red Dead 2, but there’s no way you can deny the cultural impact of Fortnite over either of those games.

It probably seems like the easy option to them, because it requires zero qualifications. They’re not really contributing anything more worthwhile than content put online by millions of others. The only real differences being the size of the audience, and expecting to get free stuff out of it.

Personally I think I would have put Skyrim above Dark Souks.

It sucks that EA never gave Andromeda a second chance. Even the people who hated Andromeda knew that there is potential to fix the game and its story via DLCs. If people were to choose between Anthem or an Andromeda DLC, people will go for the latter. Andromeda contains what people like about Bioware while none of

Soon, it will be a two pack with Fallout 76

She really did. But I just CANNOT with how low budget a lot of it looks. I know it can’t be Game of Thrones level with costuming and wigs but...yeah.

I watched for an hour and then quit. It was weird. I’ll probably watch the rest when I can FF through the movie.

Weird they didn’t put this on a Sunday night starting an hour earlier for families.

[Yes, we will. Let’s talk about it.]

Just get a traditional HHD to put games on, it’s fine. You can get an 4TB drive for like 100$. SSDs are great for the main operating system, but installing games on them is only going to speed up loading slightly.

I think youre right on the money, but missing an issue of balance.

Sorry you’re having a bad day dude.

This is a prequel so having played the first really doesn’t impact the main story you experience in the 2nd.
