They’re really getting lazy just copying Autopian, this isn’t even the first time.

It seems like it would also require a complete rethinking of scale of many businesses.

Is “Big tires, boxy body, removable top and doors” really some proprietary “playbook”?

We’re taking a broad view of the word “ripoff” here. The modern Ford Bronco’s unashamedly Wrangler-like design, the way the MG inspired the Miata — if you can make an argument for it, I’ll count it when rounding up your answers. But, my pick isn’t a car at all: It’s a wheel.

I assume the reason they linked instead of showing it is because if you hit the link, you’ll see that the tool which “can see the cars from space OMG!” is so detailed that you can also see individual cars on the roadway next to the parking lot.

“so many you can see it FROM SPACE OMG”

Except the author isn’t referring to its official class/species definition, but the name of the species which is screwworm.

I mean there’s just a slight difference between doing this on a truck that you claim you’re going to ramp up to 500k units per year, and doing it on a super exclusive car that you’re building <1000 of per year.

Or, before the truck even arrives just take a freaking tape measure and check things out.

Peffer says it’s also about quality control. All those different trims add complexity in manufacturing

I don’t like Musk but you should really look into the details of the package and the situation before pretending to post knowingly about it.

The lexus is 0.28 seconds lag, the tesla is 0.125 seconds lag, or less than half.

I’m assuming this is a tri-motor so one thing to keep in mind is something like the Patriot, preventing a wheel from spinning is a necessity because it one rear wheel is spinning in the air, it means the other rear wheel is getting zero torque. But in the case of a tri-motor EV, one wheel can spin in the air but the

Glad I’m not the only one who saw that and thought it looked like a powerpoint made by a 3rd grader for a school project in 1999

Well you see, if they want him to be a regular contributor, presumably he’s going to expect some sort of compensation for the content he provides.

They really only make sense if you have specific lifestyle/hobby situations that necessitate a lot of days on the road.

Apparently “the answer is always miata” applies in all scenarios EXCEPT when someone is exactly describing a Miata?

AC seats are one of those options that when it came out I thought “god what a stupid gimmick” but after buying one car that had them equipped, I switched to “well look like for the rest of my life I’m always going to opt for whatever luxury trim is necessary to get these things included”

My strategy is for trips where a checked size bag is desirable, I always make sure my backpack has the essentials to cover my first day or two. Like if I’m going to mexico, my backpack will have toiletries, a couple shorts/shirts and a swimsuit.

I feel like people get a ridiculously unrealistic idea of how “unreliable” baggage handling is. Like the people telling stories about the 1% of the time they lost a bag are the loudest and that’s what sticks in everyone’s impression as the expected result somehow.
