Except it’s 1000 feet BELOW, the 747 so the more relevant metric is the 60 foot heigh of a 747 (which I’m assuming includes the landing gear to knock off a few feet)

The solar panel thing is a freaking joke. The amount of light an object can reflect is limited by its surface area. So in simple terms to fully light up a given solar panel, you need something equally as large up in space reflecting to it. The ROI on solar panels are already pretty narrow, there’s zero chance it’s

If you time it when they’re doing good lease deals, it’s just a ridiculously good option. Last summer I got a willys for like 400/month with a minimal deposit and couldn’t be happier. Only time I use gas is weekend trips. I absolutely love the electric power train off road with its incredibly precise power control.

+1. I’ve got a truck (not a cyber) I ordered and it’s been sitting awaiting delivery for over a month and it’s driving me nuts because I like to get new cars ceramic coated ASAP after taking delivery but instead it’s sitting out exposed to the elements for endless weeks.

By that logic I could say water “isn’t a liquid” because it’s dependent on temperature...

So these environmentalists want EV’s, but get mad when you have to cut down a few trees for a factory that will produce countless thousands/millions of EV’s over its useful life? Boy are they going to be pissed if someone tells them what has to be done to the environment to source that battery in every EV...

1000% this. When I actually want it to automatically go all the way my car responds “Oh that sure was a brief tap, you just want me to move the window a tiny bit right”

Instead, the entire capsule will be slowly depressurized over the course of 45 hours as the passengers prepare to exit their tin can

+1, I’m all for bashing on trump but this is such a non-story. When a candidate is in the heat of a tough race do we really expect their team to be doing a background check on every vehicle used for transportation?

“I forgot to switch from ‘around town’ mode to ‘highway mode’ and my cybertruck exploded on the on ramp. Totally my fault and tesla can do no wrong”

And the ironic part is in a lot of his early campaigning years ago he liked to harp on claims like “All these career politicians are beholden to their donors and don’t think for themselves, they just do whatever the highest donor check writer tells them to. I’ll be so much better because I’m a billionaire and can’t be

It’s funny because normally he tries to at least mask the fact that his policies are dictated by his wallet, but in this case he literally just came out and said that for a price of $45M he will swiftly change his stance on a specific issue no problem.

I don’t think these people are worried about their most likely insured Tesla so much as their personal safety.

How bad do your safety and quality standards have to be for freaking TESLA to sue you for being too unsafe and low quality?

Just curious, why? Trying to think of circumstances that would make it more convenient to figure out how to work directly with the OEM versus just dropping it at your local dealer. Only thing I can come up with is if you really don’t want to buy/lease something new and think the dealer is going to be annoying

In the case of the Jeep, you have at times been able to lease a 4xe for less than the equivalent all-gas version. So you basically pay less for a vehicle that gets better MPG and is faster/more powerful.

You need to get home from the bar, there are two drivers/cars available, which do you choose.

Half of their profits from green tax credits

I think the roll was actually induced more by the front tire hitting that raised grass/dirt area, but 100% agree that the payphone thing provided basically zero “help”

+1, I think it also got an assist from the front tire catching the raised curb and starting some rotation, but that payphone thing was like the member of a group project who doesn’t show up to any of the meetings or do any work but still gets to share in the A on the assignment.
