1000% this. I know the SUV “coupes” get a lot of flack for being silly, but sales numbers indicate they’re at least pretty cool looking given looks are the only reason someone would pay a premium for the coupe-ey version rather than the more practical non-coupe SUV options.
When you mix salt and ice in this way, you create a combination that can reach much colder temperatures than ice alone
Titan was created using aerospace grade carbon fiber, reducing its weight to about a fraction of what other deep diving crewed submersibles weigh, according to OceanGate.
The lead picture in the article appears to be a different OceanGate sub. The titan has a tiny little window like an airplane window at the front.
Another EV startup clinging on for dear life is Canoo, whose CEO announced last year that claims of the company’s demise were “greatly exaggerated,” despite its own accountants saying there was “substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue.”
Ah yes, as opposed to the failed EV startups that did make it?
Good point I forgot about the auto/manual being another 2k of explanation in price variance. As long as the incentives are currently in place, it’s hard to think of a reason not to go with the hybrid wrangler these days. You end up at basically the same price for a car that’s more fun to drive and more efficient.
Personally, I’d say the Supra wildly exceeded my expectations. It has the straight line power of a muscle car, and instantaneous steering of a exotic car, while being quiet and refined enough that my wife enjoys riding in it.
The hybrids are already selling like hotcakes and quickly catching up to the volumes of the gas versions(think I saw somewhere almost 40% of wrangler sales are hybrid now).
The ‘23 4xe price is technically lower, but it’s a bit of an illusion from just the numbers in your images above. In 2023 the lowest trims 4xe was the Willy’s. In 2024 their introducing the low-cost 4xe sport trim. The 2024 4xe Willy’s is about a grand more than the 2023.
Your second point is technically valid, but likely offset by also burning a little less fuel by making fewer detours to refill.
I thought the same thing. Although I wonder if they could make it a little better by strategic geographic allocation of new vehicles to hotter climates. EX: If they’ve got a 10 year old truck in Dallas and a 30 year old truck in Green Bay, when they buy a new one, send it to Dallas and send Dallas’ 10 year old truck…
Except if I’m reading this correctly, the deal is in 2024 they’ll start including it on all new purchases, I don’t see anything about retrofitting. So assuming these thing have a 10 year useful life, some routes might be waiting until 2034 to see an air conditioned vehicle.
I would gladly exchange my civil right of “not having a swastika spray painted on my 17 year old Hyundai one single time and getting it fixed for $10” for substantially less than the settlement amount in this case :)
Finance/accounting guys :)
Just as a little real world note, I did 640 miles in a Ram TRX last year. Much of it was on the highway. I averaged just 10.8 miles per gallon during my whole trip. Add in the fact this thing comes with a 33 gallon fuel tank, and you’re going to be spending a hell of a lot of money on gas.
Swaine sued the city for $6 million in a federal lawsuit and later settled for $750,000.
When it comes to car buying, the only rule that stands above “don’t buy someone else’s project” is “DON’T BUY SOMEONE ELSE’S UNFINISHED PROJECT”
I mean every number listing accident counts in this article is entirely meaningless without some sort of denominator and comparison to non-tesla non-autopilot benchmarks.
