Am I crazy or is there a lot of confusion/contradiction on the numbers in this article?

Came here to say the same thing, plus the fact it seems like if some thief is laying under a car at night hacking away at the cat, they probably might not even notice some etching.
Agreed, while this may technically have some off road chops, I bet 80% of buyers just want a big fancy SUV and this gets cross shopped with the likes of the X5/X7, grand wagoneer, Escalade etc.
I mean, I’m pretty sure the fact they have swappable batteries at all still makes it pretty dang unique even if it’s not free.
Came to say the same, if you don’t have time to see, react and stop before hitting a stationary object, you’re driving too fast for the conditions.
Doesn’t every tesla have an IRS?
Except you’re forgetting this isn’t a normal car. Yes it’s a bad idea to leave a person or dog in a civilian vehicle unattended, but we’re talking about a vehicle where being able to safely contain an unattended human occupant is one of the design requirements.
It’s funny this kind of thing sort of actually happens.
So you’re telling me a roughly 60K truck costs roughly 1K per month to finance for 60 months? I’m astounded!
I’m impressed how many commenters are omniscient and able to conclude it was human error/neglect and not an equipment failure before the investigators have been able to make a conclusion.
preeeeettttyyy sure a cop car, especially a k9 cop car, doesn’t have the same standard issue OEM AC unit as the civilian versions of the car and is probably beefed up to account for the expected use case where it’ll frequently be sitting still with occupants in it for extended periods.
So we’re just jumping ten miles ahead of the investigation and going ahead and assuming it was some sort of negligence/mistake and not in fact an equipment malfunction and then also using that completely baseless conclusion to then also serve as support for the subsequent conclusion that the cops don’t care about heir…
This article makes it sound like the car hunted the dog down or something. “Dog runs in front of car and contact couldn’t be avoided” is such a non-story
Seriously what’s the point of a formal “recall” in this case? Surely Bugatti has the information necessary to just give the dude a call.
Around that time, the insurance giant ended its third quarter that year with a net loss of almost $700 million loss.
For $14,995 (yes, nearly 15 grand), you get Panther Matte Black paint, red brake calipers, black lug nuts, a serialized badge telling you which number car you own out of the total run of 350 vehicles, and all the other goodies from the regular Collector’s Edition (but a few are already included on the standard ZL1).…
Really though, I would guess there’s a good chance this isn’t some graphic designer “tricking” the NYPD and likely someone within the NYPD thinking they’re sticking it to the ACAB crowd re-purposing their acronym.
Even if this mysterious ACAB message wasn’t on the side of this patrol car, the NYPD embracing Pride is something to look at all on its own. After all, the Stonewall Inn riot of 1969 happened because of persecution from NYPD officers.
Back in ~2012 I was going to school in LA, and I always wondered why one street in particular was strangely always packed with RV’s. Turns out that block had both some sort of welfare/social security office and a grocery store. People would literally just live on the block and only leave their RV to pick up their…
