The point of Overwatch 2 was to turn a global phenomenon into a free-to-play, service game skinwalker.

I really liked OW it was actually fun this mess right here is just cheeks. I don’t see how people still financially support it. So what it was a free update should’ve made a new game charged for it and kept the same OW formula. Getting all cute trying to get reoccurring money.

So any bets on where he ends up next? Because these gaming CEOs are like cockroaches and never leave the industry once they’ve crawled their way in.

It was definitely 160GB last night. My guess is that the reason I had a 34GB update waiting this morning is that they’d uploaded the entire game in error, and switched it to a more demo-sized version today.

Weird how people are downplaying firefight which now has forge.

I’m glad that after 3 years and $120 million dollars they were finally able to make Cyberpunk 2077 a playable video game, I guess. A shame that despite that enormous budget, it still has absolutely nothing new, interesting, or insightful to say about it’s own setting beyond aping the most well-worn settings, stock

Yeah, I am. It was an on rails open would shooter with worse gunplay than a typical Far Cry, and insufferable characters.

Imagine spending more money that Rockstar did on RDR2 and all you could come up with was a mediocre Far Cry.

No, it’s because it looks like shit.

How are your NFTs doing?

Not going to lie, I came into the post thinking “it’s not that bad”, because the thumbnail looked like an actual improvement was made from the original. Having seen some of the rest... ouch... that’s pretty bad.

In Diablo’s case the series, hell the entire genre is entirely about grinding.  It’s not padding, it’s the meat of the game.

Sorry, but if you don’t like grind, you just don’t like the genre. Part of what makes this kind of game fun for the people who like it is the challenge of having to do repetitive tasks.

I agree with you in general, but the Diablo series has been based entirely around farming since the second one. That’s literally the core of the appeal. People who don’t like that have access to a pretty enjoyable campaign though, I liked it a lot.

Maybe, but it’s just as likely IMO that she cluelessly walked into Best Buy (or sent a similarly clueless minion) and let them pick one.

This is a glorious example of why I laugh every time private equity tries to defend itself. Embracer went on an insane spending spree and is now exploding, destroying companies, jobs, and lives in the process. WTF did they think was going to happen? Only the most deluded, Wharton School piece of shit thinks they can

Gamestop really just needs to pivot hard at this point and just become what they bought: ThinkGeek. Thinkgeek succeeded in a marketplace where their shipping and general site were garbage but it worked because they provided products nobody else did. So of course gamestop got rid of that site, smushed it into

Biggest money saving they could do is dump the CEO. Their email was a waste of time and money and I am willing to be he delegates 90% of anything he is supposed to do. He probably delegated writing the email.

I wonder how much console exclusives are REALLY driving console sales. Or is it the case where people by and large have chosen their preferred ecosystem, like iPhone vs. Android? Personally, I didn’t buy a PS4 or PS5 because of the exclusives. I bought them because I prefer Sony’s ecosystem. I’m also one of those

Modding has a long tradition of being free. Mainly because it’s typically derivative work that can be legally distributed only with the permission of the owners of the actual game. Because of this, modders who try to charge for their work tend to get huge blowback (and, in some cases get themselves a nice cease and
