I mean, more of a wolf3d clone, but whatever ;)

No they haven’t? $60 was a typical price for a SNES game, and $70 SNES games were not uncommon. That’s $130-$140 in today’s dollars. Even if you’re counting DLC expansion passes or w/e, those editions tend to go for ~$100, which is still comparatively less.
I’ve got no problem paying more for games if the publishers would commit to that money going directly to higher wages for the developers.
Games at large almost certainly should’ve ripped off that $60 band-aid sooner than they did. That price holding for over 3 decades was nuts, and brought alllll the other alternative monetization methods, some of which turned out to be infinite money glitches and obviated a sticker price at all. But now that all those…
Suing over broken promises and missing content? Better keep this guy away from Kickstarter projects.
Exactly. Beyond the out of nowhere face change, the reason provided for it is pure horseshit.
I don’t like the new face, looks too young but that is just my Opinion and this is not the problem i have with the face change.
The problem I have is they said that it would help facial animation and it was necessary. I’m a rigger in the video game industry and I call this statement bullshit. Especially with today’s…
The issue isn’t JUST that the face was changed (which you’ll never convince me wasn’t done to be more in line with the movies). It’s that he looks like teen/early 20s Peter Parker now instead of the adult Peter that is shown in the story. There's a weird dissonance because of it.
“You killed the shopkeeper Zar Bladlock. Now we have a new shopkeeper, Zur Bladluck. He will be succeeded by the next shopkeeper, Zer Bledluck.”
Look, there is obviously no right or wrong way to enjoy something, but what you have said is EXACTLY the right way to enjoy a David Cage game.
I feel like they damaged the brand so badly last week that they may have had no other choice than to remove that “Made with Unity” screen for personal licenses.
Sweet Jesus. How that CEO is not fired already is beyond me.
Quantic Dream games are my guilty pleasure of all guilty pleasures. David Cage is such a bag of shit, the games inevitably veer into unintended absurdist comedy with how poorly they stick certain aspects, and yet I can’t help but to love them.
Sure, but like any other Quantic Dream game, you have to temper how neat this sounds with how absolutely stupid it will be in reality.
At this point the damage is already done. Fuck Unity. Every developer that is able to do so should start working toward publishing any future projects they start on something other than Unity. If it’s not feasible for a project to change mid-development, then that should be finished with Unity and they should work…
Lol, it doesn’t matter. They might retain some smaller indies, but any larger indie studios or AA/AAA studios who were previously using unity are gonna jump. Any new developers are going to find so much negativity towards unity when evaluating what engine to use they’re going to use godot or unreal.
It is going to take…
So you think that only the very rich should be allowed access to the nicest cards? It seems a sad approach to cartoon characters on cardboard.
Mass Effect Andromeda did not have DLC cancelled because there was never DLC planned in the first place. Story DLC requires pre-planning during production of the main game and the studio was too busy just trying to get that rushed out the gate.
Please, for the love of Christ (or Chrussy if you want me to hate you), can we all just STOP, FOREVER the use of the slang suffix -ussy? I fucking hate it. It was fine and useful when very specifically applied to a non-vaginal vagina. But it has gotten extremely, tiresomely out of hand.
I am a grown man with a Bandit t-shirt.
If you had ever told me I would own a non-ironic piece of clothing featuring a Disney Jr. character, I would have laughed you out of the house. But I’ll be damned if this isn’t one of the greatest tv shows of the last 20 years.
It’s difficult to put into words how much I agree with that latter statement. That for me was this challenge with the game, aside from how much I disliked the overall story writing, as it felt like it was so confident that it was saying something, but it just felt like a reflection from a shallow pool.
