The folks in my community here in WA - where masks become mandatory today indoors and outdoors where social distancing isn’t possible — are already salivating at the chance to claim all sorts of false and self-diagnosed “medical exemptions” for why wearing a mask would be “dangerous” for them.

Fun fact: possession of one of those is a Federal crime because you are misusing the Department of Justice Logo.

I’m curious how they even got the authority to open the boxes in the first place. My understanding is they need warrants to open USPS mail, and typically that only happens in drug cases where they can get a dog to alert to a package. It’s not, but it doesn’t matter. So many illegal things are being done by law enforcement right now, including violations of international law resulting in actual war crimes, that they no longer care what is legal or illegal.

The most frustrating thing about all this is that, for environments and people that really, really have a hard time keeping their hands clean and would benefit from sanitizer being available as part of an overall hygiene program,the product is just not available.
