Lots of countries also have far harsher remedies for drunk driving convictions. Despite all the noise, DUI laws in the US are laughably lax, provided you have the money to pay the fines.

I’m going to star this multiple times.

During the period when GM was on taxpayer funded life support, the local papers were still offering $10,000 discounts on new GM trucks.
had the same first thought. You cannot compare “trade in” value to a dealers lot price. Private party gets you close to what you can expect but as you said there is also a slight dealer premium. Odd that Lawrence would make that mistake. I think most car people know this.
Your KBB is trade in value....
Definitely the most bang when the hockey mom in the new Tahoe clips you while crossing three lanes because she was texting instead of looking for her exit.
Lawrence, I hope you’re ready to churn these out every week. This is quality old school Jalop writing and I loved it!
I mean, there was a whole show devoted to “restoring” rare numbers matching ‘69 mopars by digging a rusted and crushed hulk out of a forest or a dump, salvaging the block and the vin tag and “restoring” it by building an entirely new car out of NOS and repro parts then welding in the old vin tag and doing an acid dip…
Replaceable head units. Can’t wait to find out what it costs to replace one of these integrated iPads like screens attached to your dash that has every function routed through it.
Good sightlines with limited to no blind spots.
Liftbacks on coupes. (or coupes in general). Trunk volume isn’t the issue, access is.
Yeah. This quote “You don’t usually rely on salespeople for technical information on cars you’re about to buy, but rather information on options, features and pricing.” is a very telling quote. The focus is all on the sale, and not the product.
Most sales people can’t answer detailed questions about any of their models. I have never been on a lot shopping where I didn’t know vastly more than the sales person about the car I was looking for. These guys/gals float dealer to dealer and rarely stay up on current/detailed product info. They know a few highlights…
Automatic transmissions.
I have joined forums for every vehicle I’ve owned... even the boring ones. Good place to get questions answered or put a question out to the hive mind.
Hold on a minute...you’re talking about a few THOUSAND complete idiots as one “side” in our two-party system??? Trump got 74,200,000 votes. Also, keep in mind that everyone voted BEFORE the capitol riot. VERY FEW Republicans support what happened in D.C., Qanon, or any of that stupid shit.
So do people think that comparing the 46% of Americans who voted for the Republican to Hitler/Third Reich is going to “unify” this country? I’ve been hearing quite a few yell “unity” and then say they want to deprogram all Trump voters. Just be honest that you want a political war and stop this disingenuous call for…
I drive a 10 year old Mini with 150k miles. It is merely a collection of unusual sights, sounds, and smells, packed into something that is vaguely car shaped.
