Yes, I'm well aware of Hackintoshes, but also being an internal Apple Systems Tech, I know that no matter how many Kexts are written for non-Apple approved hardware, it'll never be as stable as an Apple Approved and Compiled Hardware selection. I've never worked with a Hackintosh that didn't have some large issue (no

You're forgetting the fact that some people are also in this for the Mac OS X and Ecosystem. Sure, your gaming laptop may be quicker and have a marginally better screen for the size, but it can't run Lion or Mountain Lion. And if you've invested in OS X Software and peripherals, you're not exactly going to be

Ugh, Polycom. I hate those guys. Someone made the mistake of wanting to have video chat similar to what was had in the local Jail (so that families could contact the inmates from our office), and they gave the sales people at Polycom my email address, as I'm the IT Head. I still can't get those guys to stop emailing

Yeah, that's more North Korea's style. China will do nothing but shame him for awhile, then when people begin to forget about him, he'll be blackbagged and his family will receive a bill for a bullet. But he's lasted this long evidently, so maybe he'll survive it after all.

Ugh, why did is Curiosity using Instagram?

You should take a look at a book called "Articles of the Federation" by Keith R.A. DeCandido. It's very much the crossover between "West Wing" & "Trek". I highly enjoyed it.

My friend and I had this conversation the other day, and figured a Vulcan captain that was not completely humorless would be an interesting option worth considering. Especially if you made it into a "Lower Decks" kind of situation, where you rarely get to see the captain because he's not intrinsically in every scene

So what you're saying that you want in the new Star Trek is more Star Trek, and not the Star Wars-in-Star Trek-clothing we got with Abrams' terrible reboot? I can live with that...

Agreed, the last thing we want is to tie this guy specifically to "Batman" in any way. Unless he comes out and makes that connection on his own at trial, I think we should distance the two as much as possible.

Poor Tom Hanks...

See, it's comments like this that make me miss the old comment system. Because this brilliant comment is worth at least mention of a Star...

I ordered some RAM for work the other day and it was coming from Tarzana, CA to Eugene, OR. But not before it went for a day to Kentucky for some reason...

Agreed. Whoever the hell designed the 2009 crap has nothing on the designs of Jefferies, Probert, or Eaves. They knew how to design for Trek.

It's totally known. It's all EU stuff, and it's things that other authors came up with to right one of Lucas' many wrongs. Where the fallacy has an issue is with the term "Lightspeed". If the ship was in fact going strictly the speed of light, then their ships would be slower than Star Trek's ships with their Warp

So, it's a telescope? Man, that's some new technology... only been around, what, 400 years?

After Green Lantern and the continuous reboots of only 2 characters, I think this is the fan community reaction...

..redacted

Geez, I can't tell you the number of times I tried to make a phaser out of Legos as a kid. I always failed, but was able to make a pretty passable front end of a Star Trek V assault phaser because there was a Lego piece that looked exactly like the emitter nozzle!

NuTrek.
