That is the strangest thing. I can't imagine just assuming that someone's hair would be hard (unless it's in some weird super-hairsprayed costume formation, Lady-Gaga-style). I've always had people randomly touch my hair because it's super-curly and it's always driven me nuts, but I'm white so it's felt like more of

Ah, okay - a couple of people have mentioned it on here so I was thinking I should have known that about myself!

Ditto! So ready to be done with this winter.

Okay, I'm in. Sold.

Wow. Just, wow. Well done. That is seriously impressive.

Please allow me to introduce you all to the best winter coat ever: the Stadium Squall Coat from Land's End. It is certainly not the prettiest coat, and it's kind of giant, but damn is it effective (partly due to that giant length, honestly). Important bonus: for anyone who is allergic to feathers, like I am, and

I am totally with you. I don't actually know what my cutoff temperature is - weirdly my doc never mentioned that people have a cutoff temperature so I haven't paid attention to that - but yeah, even when my husband is making fun of my purple toes ("Smurf feet," as we call them) or when parts of my hands/feet have

Totally agree with you. Regular wool socks are often really itchy for me, and I've tried cashmere socks but those make me sweat like crazy. SmartWool socks are super-warm, not itchy, and generally thin enough to fit inside regular shoes without stretching them. I should have bought way more of them, too.

Holy hell. I've had it in my fingers and toes for years, and recently noticed my hands and the entire bottoms of my feet turning colors as well. And that freaking hurts. But nipples? Oh dear lord. I can't even imagine. Never been pregnant, and now there's even more to fear here. How did you cope? Ugh, I am so

Just a nod of understanding here from a fellow Raynaud's-er. My husband makes fun of the ghastly colors that my fingers and toes (and, as we noticed recently, my hands/feet) like to turn. Ugh, it hurts, though. Seriously made a comment yesterday about relocating somewhere warm. If only I could deal with the heat

Land's End!! YES. Got the best winter coat from them last year. It's long and crazy-warm and - BEST PART - it is not made of down, which is key when you're allergic to feathers and down makes you itch like crazy. It's not cute at all, and it is kind of giant, but it is the warmest thing ever.

I feel the same way about my Uggs. Sadly they no longer make these - I kind of wish I'd gotten them in black instead of white (they came in white, grey, and black at the time), but they've held up great for the few years that I've had them, they're warm as can be, completely waterproof, and amazingly comfortable.

Oh my g-d, I am so sorry!!! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery, with as little pain as possible, and a wonderful, wonderful wedding that goes off without a hitch when you do have it. Sending you all the internet love in the meantime.

I hope they pick someone really good and likable, and really unexpected... and whose visibility can boost the rest of this group. Wonder who they'll get. Interesting that Witney is the one who's left un-paired at this point!

I just looked up Willow Shields, who is partnered with Mark, and according to the ever-accurate IMDB she is 14 years old. FOURTEEN. Why does Mark always wind up with the super young girls? I love this show, but... a 14-year-old is going to be partnered with someone *twice* her age (Mark is 28, according to IMDB).

Totally agree with this ranking. +1

I know the same ones you do - and only know Red Foo because I googled him when he was a guest judge on one of the recent seasons (and I thought he was kind of annoying as a guest judge - hope he's better as a contestant!). Yeesh.

I've fallen in love with the show, too, and wind up liking people I've never heard of before every season... but in this cast I've heard of so few people!! Seriously. I only know who Red Foo is because I googled him when he was a guest judge on one of the recent seasons (and honestly I found him to be an annoying

Lolo Jones was awful. I only started watching in the last few years, but she was painful to watch.

Just to chime in here: that was smart to call your brother. Also, even though your therapist is on vacation, please call and leave him/her a voicemail. He/she should have voicemail (and may even be checking it while away), and on the recording should also have information about someone covering in case of emergency
