I agree. Everything is better with a diverse group behind it. To homogenize the production elements makes for a boring movie. Collaboration between a multitude of different perspectives, ideas, experience, etc. always makes for a better film, in my book.

Police Unions have scary amounts of power on what can and can’t be done with bad cops. They can even tell the city that bad cop can’t be fired, in some situations.  It’s been documented to happen, the city had to rehire the cop despite having them dead to rights.

Reminds me of the time I was suspended for throwing a piece of chicken in the school cafeteria and hitting a staff member with it. The kicker was that I never did such a thing, it must have been someone else. I still took that day of vacation though.
