"Ridiculous," hmmm? If you get off your snooty high horse for half a moment, you can look at examples of CGI and traditional hand-drawn animation throughout the years that have evoked emotional responses in their audiences, time and time again. They're merely another tool that filmmakers have at their disposal for

There ya go, clouding the issue with the facts. Wet-blanket! :) :) :)

Fortunately, a proclamation doesn't make it reality. CGI creations are just as capable of conveying emotion and connection as any "real" actor. Painting all CGI with the same narrow brush is doing a grave disservice to many, many talented filmmakers.

I never found anything wrong with the cover illustrations. They are charming and stylized, and managed to get across some key element of the stories within; that's pretty much what the cover of a children's book is supposed to accomplish.

Wasn't his short story about mnemonics that had the colonists of a planet being slowly poisoned by either iridium or beryllium dust? I can't remember the name of it (irony alert!)

So, what you're trying to say is you're "threw" with them? ;)

I wonder how much the meteor explosion over Russia will spur additional interest? Hopefully, there'll be some real, concrete progress made in getting to them and figuring out how to deal with future ones that are even more of a threat. Along the way, if a metric Crap-Ton(tm) of money can be made in the process by some

Some of the snips & pieces I've seen over the years prove you to be very correct. :)

That's ... that's ... Wow. I like Joe Biden, but the way you describe this other gentleman sounds like Too Much Of A Good Thing(tm) lol

Conflicted between the urge to facepalm and laugh. :)

"In Space, No One Can Hear Epic Sad Trombone..." :)

Electrosaurus!!!!

That's the wonderful thing about orbits ... manage them right, and they tend to be stable :) (And yes, my tongue is firmly in cheek!)

So, we'd need roughly 80 of them in the same ballpark size/value, ignoring what the market values would change with the influx of metals/minerals.

I'm stunned that you neglected to mention Nicholas Hoult. I expected more from you, Good Dr.

Naive? Hardly. The waste of their lives was just that - a waste, because of the slipshod quality control being used to construct the Command Module systems, and from the lack of taking into consideration the highly-flammable pure oxygen atmosphere in the sealed capsule, and the door hatch mechanism that took too long

Londo & G'Kar definitely. I would also stipulate the Doctor and Garibaldi, too.

Mysterious Author Funt! Brought to you by Funt's Ketchup! :)

Avocado's Guaco-Moles!

That was an attempt by the Soviets to come up with a better form of tank propulsion.
