I originally started out writing a fairly long response to all of the naysayers, but then I realized it was a waste of both my time and theirs. To all of the people who have the wherewithal and balls of titanium, more power to you! I hope this is a success and that it brings us that much closer to affordable space

Cheer up. They could've used a Major Matt Mason or Billy Blastoff toy instead. At least the era was right :)

"Kingdom Come" would be freaking AMAZING in a two-or-three parter.

Brain. 'Sploding.

I liked them, too.

Actually, I could see Pierce Brosnan as Wil Magnus ... he played a similar role in "Mars Attacks!"

It's more than a little ironic that the responses here are so mercurial. Then again, I can always depend on this forum to provide the gold standard for bad puns. Hopefully, new readers won't be lead to the wrong conclusion.

Luckily, you can use the great power of voting with your wallet and not go to see it. Me, I think I'm going to see it - sounds like a fun popcorn flick. Leave your faculties at the door and keep your suspension of disbelief firmly at your side and enjoy the ride :)

You didn't chuckle at Robert Deniro as the pirate in drag?

Skylab was freakin' GINORMOUS. It had a ton of room for the astronauts to maneuver around in. If you ever get a chance to visit the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in D.C., do yourself a favor and check out the one they have on display. It's wild & well-worth the trip.

Same here - but, I'd be able to track down whatever monitor was still left on at the end of the night in the computer lab I ran many years ago, solely by the whine.

Also the high-pitched whine from a CRT display.

True, that's pretty sad. However, a POS has fairly low demands for what it needs to do, so Win95 isn't a stretch. Running a multi-million dollar distribution center that services the entire country with a web-based, IE6-specific front-end is ludicrous. I'm just glad that I'm not going to be there as they (finally!)

Place I used to work for (up until about a year ago) was still using XP and IE6. The (ahem) "lovely" warehouse management software was hardcoded to work only on IE6.

Boom! :)

I love the gesture controls, especially in the Safari browser. I'm rapidly becoming spoiled by them.

There's an awesome cartoon hiding in there somewhere: Thor, Twinkies-Gut hanging out, sitting on his goat-drawn couch, exhorting them to pull faster as he tries getting within zapping range of Loki.
