I finally gave up on TDS. I watched for months, not expecting him to be Jon Stewart, but expecting him to get better at his job, to find his own way. And it wasn’t happening. The correspondents’ work is almost universally great, but I just couldn’t take Trevor Noah anymore.

I want, so badly, for Trevor Noah to be good at this.

There were 2 reasons I chose our pediatrician, and it was based on negative Yelp reviews.

My husband DOES NOT look like Lovitz, but he is significantly older than me and he’s fat. I don’t like thinking about people’s assumptions, because they’re preposterous and based in tired stereotypes that don’t have much to do with either of us, or why we love each other.

I feel the same. And I have to admit a few months ago when he was talking about how his brother would be a good president and he said ‘ I know what it takes to be president because I were one’ my heart felt full. Now that he no longer has any power his hilarious word slips are kind of endearing.

Plus he’s gay as a French horn, so it’s simultaneously very amusing and very frustrating that he’s a mostly party-line republican.

He is a hardline conservative on most issues who is certainly more in favor of boots-on-the-ground interventionism than the mainstream, but he’s not a “shut down the government” guy, nor is he a bigot or a cretin. Yes, he holds Republican party line positions on every issue, and no, I don’t agree with any of them. But…

How is comparing one female politician to another female politician an example of no bias? If he said “I treat HRC the same way I treat Obama or her husband...then maybe you could make that claim.
