I really wish they’d sell it as a crate motor. I have so many prospective projects I want to throw one into.

WTF? I'd this some weird Michigan thing or is the frame VIN-less?

You know what’s more intrusive? The clusterfuck of ads that is the Jalopnik mobile experience.

The tiny steering wheel that still manages to *completely* mask the cruise control stalk so you have to look around the wheel to see wtf does what, the lack of tilt adjustment in said steering, the seat height and corresponding rearview mirror directly in the driver field of view (vice elevated), the

Currently driving a rental shitbox 308. A nice reminder how far their styling has fallen.

That misses the point. To get a comparable result from a comparable outfit, it’s gonna cost you. A professional detailing job doesn’t come cheap.

Not mentioned, the $2000 detailing bill from an outfit like AMMO NYC.

Ooooo. I need more info on this! That single motor looks like the perfect form factor for my 60's Fiat 500 EV project (well, not yet an EV project because I've been turned off by the price tag - EVWest wants ~16k just for parts).

Ya, but to be fair, they’re mostly ASU students, so it’s not like they’re going to contribute much to society anyhow.

It’s too bad the vibrate on the Pixel 3 is garbage though. I’ve missed so many calls/texts because of it. It’s in the top 3 things I miss most since moving from an iPhone.

Stick around long enough and you get to experience both!

Been there, done that. Harrier Carrier, OIF 2003. Times 2.

Touche!

OOOOoooo.... I WANT THIS for my 1966 Fiat 500. I just hope it comes in lower than what the EV West kit costs (~$16k for parts alone).

The last thing many a Cars & Coffee attendee will see.

What are the boots in the title picture? Nicest of the bunch.

The guy is a hoarder with an illegal junkyard full of largely unremarkable cars. He’s violating the city code and agreed to comply. He hasn’t. This isn’t really worthy of sympathy IMO.

$1k transmission fluid change? Excuse me, what? How in the duck can it cost that much to swap out a fluid? Some silly proprietary shit?

I have to ask, why not hit that floorboard with some primer or paint as an interim fix. Keep it from getting worse if you have to sideline it again. I’m noticing a trend. Are you banned from buying spray paint or something?

Same reason we got the wife a SantaFe over a Q5. Full tilt boogie was maybe $1500 more than the basiest of base Q5s. And a legit warranty I probably wouldn't need as much as the Audi.
