I wonder what the “life span”  of a vehicle is according to Tesla. I know the original Roadster is no longer supported. Is Tesla going to treat automobile support the way that cell phone manufacturer’s do?

Random drug testing has at least one unintended consequence. Some guys around here that work for the local towns smoke “spice” rather than cannabis as it isn’t tested for.

As someone that used to drive truck, park in a truck stop sometime. Then imagine that’s where your leisure time is to be spent on your new job from now on. Now how much would you charge?

My guess is that if you put a boost gauge on a 71 series, you would see greater than atmospheric pressure, same as a turbo and supercharged Detroit. Just less boost. I looked up the specs and at 210rpm a 71 series should have 5.5 Inches Mercury. At 1200rpm it’s 1.1 Inches Mercury. Looks kinda boosty to me.

As someone that used to drive a trailer dump in Massachusetts. I found it peculiar that MA will let you weigh up to 104,000lbs in an 18 wheeler with no minimum length, as long as you purchase an overweight permit. We were the trucks that carried asphalt out to the road construction. I found it a little self serving

A Goldwing might have been a better choice considering he’s going with shaft drive...

Exhaust scavenging is by Roots-type supercharger - it’s not there for power, just to blow fresh air in and the exhaust out.” The 6-71 was a 426 cubic inch diesel that produced 225HP. A naturally asperated 855 cubic inch Cummins of the same era produced 250HP. Anything that raises the pressure in the before the intake

Maybe Nascar could decide with a coin flip right before the race, the direction of travel on the track. Would it really kill anybody to make all right turns instead of left?

If you don’t have a Tesla but want to be in on FSD...  comma.ai

Hardware is cheap and powerful now but when I began working on electronics in the late 1970's, the computer terminals that my company bought were upper case only. Lower case was a $100 option for the extra memory bits.

If a commodity 2 liter 4 banger makes sense, how about commodity electric motor for vehicles?

Caterpillar and Mack had their own methods of braking. Cat used a large torque converter type thing that ran in engine oil and could be used in addition to Jakes. Mack had something called “Dynotard” , I believe they were just an exhaust brake. Dynotard’s had a bad reputation when I drove in the 1990's. They weren’t

Is it me or is China as easily offended as a misgendered millennial on Twitter.

how about we stop judging people off of a single thing?” Speaking as someone that bought a $500 F150 to do my work with. I couldn’t agree more. The only statement my vehicle makes is that I can’t afford to shop as though a vehicle is jewelry or an expression of my inner person.

You can test the ground strap by using jumper cables between the negative battery terminal and some clean metal on the engine.

I always thought that the people with 4wd at work were foolish. I’d be sleeping in because my driveway was bad. They were expected to come to work. It was as though they volunteered for something. So I would put a dual master cylinder on that or else practice grabbing the parking brake, to get it in your muscle memory.

I am forced to defend the Saab 9000 on existential terms. The Police emptied a revolver into the back of said vehicle as I was attempting an exit from an undesirable situation. My brother talked to one of the cops that said the Saab drivers headrest had stopped a couple of bullets. So yeah, best vehicle ever.

This may produce unintended consequences. A generator can be powered by a vehicle PTO also. With some gearing to increase rpm, I would imagine an RV idling would provide plenty of watts.

It would fit pretty good in here with a double overdrive 13 speed.

1st gear, Elon could start a Twitter poll on whether to unionize Tesla...
