Let’s require cheap microprocessors in each headlight. Can anybody imagine a downside to that?

How long ago was it that we doubted that some auto makers were able to implement “drive by wire” software without causing “unintended acceleration” in some rare edge cases? The complexity of the “FSD” Tesla is a few orders of magnitude more complex. When looked at from that perspective, Tesla is either doing an

I used to drive a Trailer dump powered by a 8v92. It was able to consume 100 gallons of fuel on one shift, when I was loaded in both directions. As I recall, they were 9 hour shifts.

It gets expensive to source a center differential with a rear output shaft. I have read of people that added a divorced transfer case to drive the rear axle but it was a convoluted setup.

I couldn’t agree more. Walking my dog on side roads, I would stay off the road when cars were around. I see lots of people that act much more boldly but as they say about motorcycles. There aren’t many old bold riders.

I was walking by a Bank when their emergency generator fired up for it’s periodic test. Judging by the size of the enclosure, it was powered by a roughly big rig size engine. Notably it was natural gas powered and produced no visible smoke on startup or after running. I am pretty sure this would scale as I used to

Considering the bike is sold in India, the “high idle” might be for when you use the bike to power a water pump or generator.

My biggest worry would be the OBD1.5 diagnostics on 94 and 95 GM vehicles. I had a bugger of a time comunicating with the ECU on my 95 Silhouette.

I worked at a shipyard owned by General Dynamics and when we went on strike in the 1980's, the company did the same thing. A desk worker overloaded a crane and died in the accident. I don’t believe anyone was under the crane when it fell, it could have been worse.

Or the fuel injectors or pump if those are easier.

It might be a fun car with a 5 speed conversion. I keep thinking of the CV that was cruising around the hills at Moab.

There is a penalty waiting period for voluntary quitting in MA, at least there used to be. I collected once when my boss gave me the ultimatum, “if you’re late one more time, I’m going to have to fire you”. I told him that was silly and you may as well fire me now because you know I’m going to be late tomorrow. I

I don’t mind that they sourced a FWD powertrain. I object to it not driving the rear wheels.

Someone stole the VIN tag off of my 1967 Camaro convertible around 25 years ago. I was assigned a new number from the Massachusetts Registry. On that year Camaro the VIN tag was on the door frame where you would look for tire inflation info nowadays. Since the car was already registered to me, I had to report the tag

Regarding the Power Wagon. As a teenager I got my 1963 Chevy wagon stuck so far in the woods that no one would scratch up their trucks to come and get me. I found a garage with a square body Power Wagon tow truck. I had to ride with him to get my car and that was the crudest vehicle I have ever been in. To qualify

You would think BMW would have a cooling advantage because the rear cylinder always gets hotter on Harley’s (at least they used to).

I think just as we “able people” have a spectrum of physical prowess, the “disabled” must be similarly scaled. For some person with a decent amount of upper body strength, something like this might suffice.

In an aircraft, 100 feet is a lot scarier than 15,000 feet.” Not if you are on a wingless aircraft.

I was watch a Tesla video demo on YT that decided 2 people sitting on a bench were a motorcycle. The motorcycle changed direction as the A.I. analyzed it. So I doubt any vehicle built today will have the processing capacity not to mention any future vehicle to vehicle communication that will be needed.

Would anyone care to estimate the profit of Tesla selling the FSD package over the years? How much have people paid for something which will most likely not happen within the useful life of the vehicle?
