Toronto used to have a pop up late night event called Ertefa. Street racing, burnouts, shit like that always used to happen at the events. They kept going to different locations but the cops just ended up following them around and shutting it down. Not sure what they are doing now, as I got out of that scene due to

Reading this brought a tear to my eye.

I completely agree and I work in the industry. This is a hard fought battle as many OEM stylists think the screens are clean looking while some others think touch screens are cool and the “future”. Usability and eyes on the road aren’t a concern!

Oh, that’s E A S Y!!! It’s uuuhhh.... erm....

This is when I became a fan:

I think the problem here is that you can’t actually market this thing to people who don’t know about cars. There’s no wool-pulling. It’s not like the Urus (I finally have an excuse to drive a Lambo!) or some heritage-laden tweedmobile (Careful with the Jag, darling).

Lots of car names became famous to normies for

Boomers: “You kids don’t work these days!”

“Man, I wish I could read about what it’s like to drive a solar powered car.”

“Huh, guess I’ll never know.”

Kirsten, that was probably the best jalopnik article I’ve ever read. I’m roughly Papadakis’ age and grew up on Hondas, but instead of LA I grew up in the PNW. I’ve had a crx, multiple mkII mr2's, a prelude and a wrx. I attended (spectator) a couple local illegal races in the early 2000s. The cars weren’t even close to

I know a guy that knows what it is. Would you believe it started life as a 1969 Corvette? A one-off custom build.

May I ask what you do for a living that makes a $40k affordable? lol. I work as an engineer and I can only reasonably afford something half as expensive. I would love an ATS-V, but I just can’t.

Here he is, ladies and gentlemen: That Guy.

65,ooo California miles and a 401 under the hood. $3,200 obo. Do you know how hard it s now to find a nice 401 AMC engine in 2017? From the factory forged crank, rods, and pistons.

That’s how you get fit.

Richard Carter, Director of Global Communications for Rolls Royce, agrees. “This super-wealthy crowd, they’re not really after gimmicks,”

Oh fuck off. You get in someone else’s supercar, you hit the gas, the tires aren’t “performing at the level they should be”? If you decide to double the speed limit on a public street in a vehicle that you are not personally 100% certain of, it’s on you, bro.

I just see:

Last week I replaced the battery in my wife’s CR-V. It took 3 minutes to replace the battery and 45 minutes to find where in the engine bay my 10mm ratchet had fallen to.
