Blasphemy!

This is the 3rd excellent article I’ve read by Kristen this week. Excellent work.

Loved the article. Very well written. Had me reminiscing when I used to race people in my nitrous-fed V6 Mitsubishi Eclipse.....I spent more time building it than driving.

Emailed. Turbocharger engineer for passenger cars.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve said these exact words to my wife, then emerge 4 hours liter covered in black grease.

I have so many of these stories, I will just think of a few that I remember.

How does one get out of the gray?

My driver’s ed car was a Dodge Intrepid. I’m not sure to this day how Dodge sold so many of that car. Anyways, that’s irrelevant to my story. I took driver’s ed at 15 years old with two other students, and a lazy instructor whose idea of driver’s ed was driving him around to get his household errands done, while

Along similar lines, I recently got a 2009 Matrix XRS 5-speed. Good space, more power than the fit (158 hp) and Toyota dependability. And does great on mountain roads - full independent rear suspension instead of torsion beam on lower models. So I would recommend a newer Scion iM/Corolla Wagon, Honda Fit, Honda

Automatic transmissions. In everything.

Back when I was about 25, I had a rental car for work to visit a job site for a few weeks in DC, about 5 hours from my office in NC. This was a 2010ish Chrysler 300 V-6. I came back home on the weekend, and was pulled over on my way back for speeding on the VA/NC border. I explained to the officer this was a rental

I currently own a 2004 S60R 6-Speed and totally understand the appeal. Never thought I was much into Swedish cars but I love how quirky it is and how well it drives. Even if it is expensive to repair.

When I was young, I remember calling the Pontiac Grand Prix a Grand Pricks. Still makes sense to me to say it that way because I'm not French.

Elegant. I like the direction Cadillac is taking.

I'm not sure I ever realized that it had pop-up headlights. I mean I always saw the outline but chose to ignore it. Those pop-ups look terrible. Looks much better with them off.

Honda seems to be taking styling cues from the Pontiac Aztek. This styling offends me. Internets are not happy.

I kind of have to hold the gear shift in my manual Volvo S60R. It has a common problem where it rattles in 2nd, 4th or 6th gear due to a cable issue. So it's for my sanity. My suggestion for a CVT is just to never drive one.

I’m not saying I would personally pay $6500 for this car, but I wanted to give it a NP for my Volvo loyalty. It's realistically worth half that but I wish the seller the best of luck. For what it's worth I bought my 04 S60R with dealer records and 100k miles for less than this price.

Can you light up the tires and get a photo from a bystander? Want to know if this will be able to ruin cars and coffee meets.

I think it’s all relative. German engines definitely beat, say, my mom’s 1992 Ford Aerostar that blew a motor right at 100k miles. Or my dad’s 1994 Mazda RX-7 that blew a motor right at 100k miles. Come to think of it my parent made very poor automobile decisions.

But when compared to most modern cars, or anything
