I’m a total dunce when it comes to matter of legality/copyright infringement etc. but this statement from Ubisoft really bugged me:

Brands don’t deserve the loyalty of fans and this is why. Fan created maps based on a 20 year old game only provides free advertising for MGM, there is nothing malicious or profit making to be had by the fan here.

This is really upsetting.
As an artist myself, seeing all that hard work get put down like that is just sickening. What is especially stupid is that this is by likeness alone, with no matching code.

That is exactly how it will be “celebrated” by white people. The white collar white workers will celebrate it by taking a day off so they can go down to their nearest store or boardwalk, and screaming at some blue collar black worker who doesn’t get Federal Holidays off.

It's weird, it's almost like writers have lives outside of just writing.

Well, I think we found the archetype for “bro country fan.”  Also, I’d bet a crisp $100 bill that he drives a lifted bro-dozer that has never seen any surface less pristine than a mall parking lot.
