so the problem is not that some movies can and do perform well it’s that on a whole the industry is not. take a look at 2019. NINE $1 BILLION FILMS. last year we had only two $1 billion dollar films. if youncombine inflation (including on ticket prices) we should have already had multiple billion dollar films this

A single stock went up, then down. That’s not “the economy.”

I noticed a trend among MAGAts that was echoed in this thread. It was noted that the stock went up... momentarily. It was no longer considered relevant as that same stock dropped like a stone again.

The fun thing about this story is how laughably out of date it was within a couple hours of being posted — DJT was up like 15% premarket into the $40s — ended the day down 10% below $33.  It’s a meme stock, so who the hell knows.

The reasons people leave Hoonigan, and Donut are exactly the reason people leave Jalopnik and G/O

Man I hate the College Frat bro managers. The dumbest people alive are the ones with Masters Degrees, they just lack all form of sense.

I work in entertainment, and this is one of the realest and truest things I have heard someone in this industry say:

Private equity kills everything.

didnt a recently departed writer for jalopnik just post this on twitter saying

I would say the results are more of current Ram vehicles are only minorly updated and most of the manufacturing woes have been worked out, where as dodge put their badge on the dumpster fire Hornet (Alfa Romeo Tonale) which has had a bunch of problems from the get go bringing down the score.

If you want to see quality racing the Whelen Mazda MX5 series is the answer.

It’s absolutely the Hornet/Tonale twins. The first batch of 2023s launched half baked and had a plethora of dumb software issues with thier Driver assist and cruise control systems. They fixed it quick, as the 2023s were only out for about 5 months before the ‘24s hit, and the 24's have been much much better. Still,

IMSA multi-class racing is where it’s at.

This is a great way to make it absurdly expensive, this would literally just be, “whoever puts in the most money wins”.

It’s Dunning Kruger. She has not engaged with racing much but thinks her idea will save the sport.

Seems like a good starting point to teach your kid to drive a stick, then throw the whole thing away a year later when the clutch gives up the ghost.

Nah.

Unfortunately, he has been pretty good at procreating.

If you post an article one day then post an article the next day saying the first one isn’t true does it count as 2 articles towards your quota?

Coulda been worse I guess...
