There was a time, when G-Wagens were unobtainable through normal channels in the U.S., that having a gray market one was über-cool. After MBUSA decided to bring bling-tastic G-Wagens to the US on its own, having a relatively down-style gray market model was considered properly restrained and reeking of old money.
