So I’d assume if your house caught fire, you’d be fine with the fire department taking their time. After all, it’s not *their* house that’s on fire, so it’s not really their problem.

One might argue that if more of us (humanity) is doing well, then we might advance together, as opposed to looking out for one’s self-interests, where in the one person moves forward.
