Jason: you’ve always been a stellar dude on this site, writing the most absurd nonsense, and your passion for everything has always been apparent. Your writing constantly kept me coming back for years. I hope all the best for you on future travels.

Man, Jim has been around these parts longer than you have, and always been a good dude to talk to. Why are you always interested in the hate train?
o there I was, in the middle of winter, in Saskatchewan, new-ish to the area. I was off to try to locate a guy, and decided the map said that there was a road, so I’d take it. Sure enough, taking the road through the trees, it disappeared as I approached the field. It kept getting deeper and deeper, until my Silverado…
You are relentless and I love you for it.
Thanks for all the support from the FP guys and gals over the years. Without Jalopnik, it’s pretty obvious there’d be no Oppositelock. And we know you guys did what you could to keep us around as long as possible. It’s a bummer, yeah, but the community will live on in one form or another.
I’ll agree, it’s not a taste for everyone. Very rarely had any when I got Swiss Chalet growing up.
Looking forward to finding out what “Powerboost” entails over EcoBoost.
Yep, seatbelt clip for her!
Nope. It was a tight fit with a husky.
I was going to argue that, then remembered her track record for escapes.
Hey Brian, I was in a similar boat a few weeks ago because I rescued a husky and the Fiesta ST wasn’t going to cut it. I moved up to a Golf Alltrack, but a Sportwagen could also work for you. Good power, top trim models have parking assist (allegedly, not much parallel parking in rural Saskatchewan), impressively…
Nah, a VW dealer in Alberta.
I own it. Nothing owed, thankfully.
What’s the manual fun car?
Don’t tempt me!
The price was good and it had 0% financing, but after crunching some numbers, I still wasn’t happy with the deal. So I’ll keep driving my Fiesta ST for now.
I was ready to buy a Golf Alltrack last week. Then they lowballed me on a trade in, sold the car I was interested in, and said “what can we do to still get you in a car?” They generally seemed pretty flippant about the whole Coronavirus thing.
Production ends in May.
Yeah, I’d love to do something suspension wise to it and get rid of the 205/40 R17 summers when it’s not winter, but I’d rather not have a project car as my only car, it doesn’t solve my space issue, and I’m ready to move on.
Depends on what you want out of a vehicle. I'm far too rural for the FiST at this point. I enjoy it, it's a lot of fun, but not what I need at this point in my life.
