I was just Googling the Japandroids the other day and could find absolutely no information that wasn’t at least two years old. There are no articles stating that they broke up or anything like that. Does anyone honestly know what happened to them?

Lowering the bar back down is still a skill that needs practiced though, especially when talking about lowering it slowly. It’s just as easy to injure yourself cat-backing when lowering the weight as it is when lifting it.
I hope this isn’t the type of writer that Gawker is replacing all the quality writers they have lost recently with?
Your best bet is just asking for a spot if you’re getting that close to your max. Dumping the weight can put anyone near you in danger.
Good points. I guess I should have specified, but my comment wasn’t really directed at someone who was just stepping into the gym. It was more for someone who has been at it a while and is correctly on an intermediate program, but questioning why they are plateauing.
Excellent article! One thing I would say is if you start to stall before deciding your program is too advanced just try to deload for a week. While I agree you don’t want a program too advanced you also don’t want to be jumping from program to program because you’ll never see results.
Gym contracts are the worst! I have always tried to find month-to-month fee gyms when I have needed a new one. They are normally smaller mom and pop type gyms, but I also prefer those.
Not that it would have changed this guys shitty luck, but I installed one of these on my truck and it makes the simple job of an oil change even easier, so easy in fact you have to be pretty damn lazy not to just do it yourself.

Good day for R&B/Hip-Hop fans - Jeremih, Rick Ross, Curren$y and Pimp C. (G-Eazy and Cudi were intentionally left off this list.)
If you’re not being sarcastic get ready for a gigantic letdown as far as the Cudi album, or better yet, do yourself a favor and don’t listen to it at all.
Any idea how much the “track pack” will tack onto the $8,999?
I assume Roger, along with everyone else, learned to catch things like this from the same source.
Visors need to be swapped for new ones once a year or so.
Yes, I am talking about textbook press, not some sort of push press. Plus, I find it awkward to try and get the correct hand positioning and width if the bar is on the ground and I need to do a clean in order to get into position.
When you say military press do you mean standing overhead press because if so I completely disagree. If I’m working at 90% or more of my max the only place that allows me to position myself correctly to begin this lift is the squat rack.
The other week I was doing some heavy deadlifting and had a bunch of sets to go. A guy came up to me and ask how many sets I had left. I told him 5 and he huffed and began to walk away. I told him he was welcome to work in if he wanted.
I cannot agree with this enough. My gym has one (small town, mom and pop type gym). Luckily, it seems like 99% of the other gym members are afraid of this area.
I’ll agree if you’re only speaking about machines. If I’m doing heavy deadlift/squats I’m taking my time between sets. You either wait or ask to work in, but I’m not rushing because of someone else.
