You can just say Alexa turn on such and such. I have it setup so if I say “Alexa turn on Netflix” it turns on TV, receiver, sets everything to necessary input and turns TV Netflix app on.

Although keep in mind for deads you want the bar at a certain height, so if you’re not using 45s and don’t have access to bumper plates you should have towels/mats or something to place under the weight to raise the bar. This shouldn’t need to be said, but not other plates!

Not sure what your ankle issue is, so this could be no help, but squat shoes or putting 5 pound plates under your heels can help if it’s a mobility issue.

I agree that if squats or deads cause real pain when using correct form they should not be done. But, I read about a lot of people not wanting to try these exercises because they experience occasional pain in their lower back, knees, ect. I’m guessing a number of those people experience this pain because those parts

Most of what I have heard is if you order from Inzer and don’t want to wait then order black as they normally have it in stock. My Inzer was delivered a week after ordering.

I bought my first belt about three months ago and have been loving it. It has helped me lift heavier with less form breakdown. It has also helped me refine my bracing techniques so I can lift with better form when not using it.

Their content isn’t something I find interesting anymore either. Back when Wes and Sean were there they had bike/gear reviews. Now it’s either 1 minute videos from somewhere else or satire articles.

In lieu of Sean leaving can anyone recommend some decent sites to get motorcycle and gear reviews/news from. It is surprisingly difficult to find one. RideApart and Lanesplitter were my old go-tos, but the former started going down the crapper a while ago and now it appears Lanesplitter is following them down.

Awesome article! I have just recently started to focus on adjusting my bar path and pushing up towards my face more when initiating the press and even though it’s still a work in progress it has made a significant difference already.

RWD and supposedly also AWD in another trim level

This is my last comment then I’m done feeding the trolls. Read the Belt Bible article Stephanie linked in her article. A belt isn’t a crutch that makes you magically not have to use your supporting muscles. Nuckols lists numerous studies about that exact thing. So, you have no data and are just guessing, while someone

You just don’t get it. There is no such thing as too light of a weight to need a belt. Yeah, I agree you only want to use it when working with like 85% of your max or higher. But, it’s not wrong to use a belt if your squatting say under 2x your body weight. Go read the bible belt article that’s linked here, backed by

okay...

That makes sense. I agree you want to have good form and know how to brace properly without a belt before considering one. It just doesn’t makes sense to me to say, “You only need a belt when you get to 2x bodyweight.”. Like you explain in the article a belt helps you add more weight/reps, which is how you get

Excellent article. The Nuckols article is what convinced me to get a belt. I disagree with the people saying you need to lift x amount of weight before using a belt and that Nuckols article does a great job explaining why that thinking is wrong.

I was just Googling the Japandroids the other day and could find absolutely no information that wasn’t at least two years old. There are no articles stating that they broke up or anything like that. Does anyone honestly know what happened to them?

Lowering the bar back down is still a skill that needs practiced though, especially when talking about lowering it slowly. It’s just as easy to injure yourself cat-backing when lowering the weight as it is when lifting it.

I hope this isn’t the type of writer that Gawker is replacing all the quality writers they have lost recently with?
