I think everyone here knows what I mean. We all know a Marcus. Marcus, in the abstract, is the guy who you’ll have over to your house on Sunday for a few hours to watch football, but you know your girlfriend isn’t going to like it. By the third quarter, and 25 references to his “ball stink” later, your girlfriend goes

This car seriously had all the makings of a Nissan 370Z, Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, Infiniti G37, etc competitor. If you only look at the spec sheet, this car had everything it needed... but...

I’m guessing a number of those people experience this pain because those parts of their body are weak because they don’t use them regularly.

These exercises should be done with little to no weight for the first time user. You have to get your form right before adding resistance.

All true- also with squats especially there are a million ways to modify them to take strain off the problematic body parts (usually knees or ankles). I have a shitty ankle which makes it hard to get all the way down on a squat, but it’s still 95% as effective.

The ones Sean recommended to me were: Asphalt and Rubber, MCN, cycle world and motorcyclist

Lanesplitter, Revzilla’s Common Tread, and RideApart were the best ones that I know of which is kinda sad cause as you said, RideApart has sucked for a while now and Lanesplitter will most likely return to it’s Pre-Sean state of neglect.

I’m with you, don’t know where to go

I would advise against the benching without clips thing, much better to learn and master the roll of shame. Last thing you and everyone else needs is to lose control of the weight because it’s off balance. Keep in mind that most people will be fairly fatigued if they start having trouble racking the bar.

I agree with yours and Nuckols’ viewpoint, mostly because any “standard”(like “You’re considered really strong if you lift X amount of weight” standards) in weightlifting is really arbitrary. That said, the recommendation to wait until you can lift X amount of weight simply gives the trainee more time to groove good

might have something to do with the Chicago branch of The Hand...

And I agree, but that could have easily been boiled down to “4 double IPAs and Indian takeout from the place down the street.” The extra irrelevant detail to show how cool your food/beer taste is is the hipster-millenial kinda thing.

The man just got his ass kicked by Denver’s defense in the most important game of his life. I don’t blame him for being a sore loser.

Valsalva maneuver?

Actually, I’d take your comment one step further. After doing what you said, get into position to start your pull. Now here’s the tip:

One more tip/cue you should add to this article. It’s the biggest improvement I’ve made to my deadlift.

Nah.
