I always forget how well Ryan Reynolds expresses my ennui.
I get all my science info from Ghostbusters.
Another wonderfully incisive comment. You are quickly becoming one of my personal Kinja favs. Keep up the good work! xoxo

I think the idea is that people notice these people if they have to interact with them for other reasons, but don't really consider them to be a "real" part of their dating pool because they don't need to stop and think for a moment before deciding to reject them.
Depends how they define "notice." In the regular sense of the word, you're right. But I suspect they interpret "notice" to mean "notice as a potential mate."
So "Quirky" = Hipster.
I'm trying out this crazy new app called "Talking to people," it's a little slow going but I get real HD visuals of the person, I get to hear their voice in real-time, and they can tell me either quirky things or sometimes it's serious, I just never know which way it's going to go!
With each passing day, and each new dating/social media app/website, I am SO FUCKING grateful that I went to high school in the late 90's and none of this crap was around.
