For the same reasons I don’t think patrol cars should be allowed to be blacked out with grayscale logos: Police vehicles should be easily identifiable as such for safety concerns.

Honestly I struggle with why anyone would want to buy a silver, grey, white, or black Explorer, Taurus, or Tahoe these days. Most people are going to drive slow around those cars because they’ll think it’s a cop. Why would anyone want to deal with that as a civilian?

Yes, really. If the car is Taurus-based, it shouldn’t look like a Taurus. If it’s Explorer-based, it shouldn’t look like an Explorer. They should be identifiable at a glance as a cop car.

In Pennsylvania Ford has the contract. I’ve never seen one of these on the road.
