Just saw it in NYC on Sat - they use fake blood very effectively, including a moment of the actor convincingly vomiting a large amount of blood after his teeth are removed. There are no live rats, but the inference of them is well done and equally (maybe more so?) as disturbing since the audience doesn’t actually know…
