Speaking of Cambridge bars and gay bars, I've been to Paradise in Central Square with a gay friend and they make the strongest drinks I've ever experienced. Based on that, gay bars would be moved up a couple spots in my book.

I visited Montreal when I was 20 and the bar in our hotel was sampling Unibroue. I tried Blanche De Chambly and it was the first legit Belgian style beer I had ever had and it blew me away. Immediately went out and bought some.

Quads are the only style where I always buy Belgian made ones. Most American quads are pretty bad. Three Philosophers is good but most of the best Belgian ones are better and just as common and affordable. Hell, you can get St Bernardus ABT 12 in 4-packs.
