quote from movie, bud. Pertinent

[Here’s further proof that you, Jalopnik readers are awesome. I shall hand over the microphone to Riley Schultz: “The original paint wasn’t in good shape anymore, so I went chalkboard!”. Brilliant!]

It won Le Mans, though .

oh , Im sorry, where you there?!

As a former MSF instructor, we used to team new motorcyclists that is it entirely possible to be both right, and dead. When you are the more vulnerable vehicle, it is probably not the best idea to push the fact that you are in the right, just relax and worry about staying alive.

Agreed. I’ve had plenty of situations (like everyone has) where you’re nearly hit by someone. I’ll shake my head or hold up my hand questioning what they’re doing, but I’ll never do any more than that. Certainly never felt like cussing someone out was the best course of action...

on a bike, discretion is almost always the better part of valor

I’ve gotten used to just shaking my head and keep going, lest the aggressor comes back. At which point, I’m just going to find the nearest exit.

A friend of mine went a few years ago. She went for the experience. She got herpes.

The answer is always Miata?

Alfa Romeo 4C. I finally saw one in person last week and it’s hard to describe why my want is so strong. The dealer practically tried to talk me out of it too. He was mostly along the lines of “if you don’t know what you’re getting into, this car isn’t for you.” There are faster cars for the same price point but

Saab 96

Really? You prefer the dame edna headlights over this?

Saab 96.

I honestly always secretly liked the look of the late 90s Cavalier, but then they “updated” it, and bleh!

Good man...

here here. I ride all year. we don’t get much snow in texas but if its icy ill park it. other than that im on it. even during this damn flood.

Alright, cool. Great looking bike you have there.

Before I owned a car I also road my bike through winter. Being young at the time I even took it out in snow. I didn’t make it very far and I learned how much grip and slip can be had with one wheel drive, summer performance tires and and V4 running it all. After that I took the bus on days when snow covered the road.

I bought heavy riding gear with intent to ride this winter, and then my carbs started acting up and said “Oh, I’ll wait until spring, rebuild them over the winter...” I haven’t touched them yet, so that’s not gone well...
